The official Call of Duty blog revealed that the War Mode from Call of Duty: WW2, and “evolved” versions of Invasion and Ground War, are coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The Ground War multiplayer mode has objectives like Domination, where instead of a 6v6 situation, there are 32 players in each team who have to reach 250 points to win. On the other hand, Invasion features a 20v20 combat situation, where both teams consist of real and AI combatants. As for the War Mode, it features narrative-driven combat where both teams get a chance to attack and defend objectives in order to win. Activision has also announced that Ground War and Invasion will be played on three new Battle maps, whereas the War Mode will be played on a separate “colossal” War map.

These aren’t the only things coming back to the game as the slide cancel feature will also be available in Modern Warfare 3. Furthermore, Activision is also bringing back the highly-requested Red Dot feature to the minimaps in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which has been missing in the Modern Warfare subseries since its reboot in 2019. Along with this, players have also theorized that a new version of the controversial "No Russian" mission could be included in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as well.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is introducing an open-world Zombies mode as a first for the game, where players will also be able to team up with other squads to defeat massive groups of the undead. Another exciting announcement also reveals the return of 16 classic multiplayer maps from the 2009 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, that have been enhanced while keeping their authenticity intact.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launches on November 10 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
