Yes, Modern Warfare 3 will feature crossplay across gaming consoles like Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4/5, and PC. Like previous Call of Duty titles, the latest addition to the franchise will allow users to play with their friends even if they're on different platforms. So, players don’t have to worry about their teammates using PS4 while they use the Xbox One. Players can quickly join the crossplay matchmaking to squad up with friends or invite and add other players.

The Call of Duty franchise introduced the crossplay feature back in 2019’s Modern Warfare, and it has been a mainstay since then. Players can find their Activision ID on their Call of Duty account profile under the Basic info tab. The ID, also known as gamertag, is what players use to add and invite their friends and family for crossplay. If players know their teammate's gamertag, they add it on the Activision website and send a request to join the matchmaking. Players can also turn the crossplay feature on and off, like in Modern Warfare 2.
