A Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 player shares an interesting idea for fans of the Shipment 24/7 playlist. Shipment is one of the most popular maps in the Call of Duty franchise, but it wasn’t a part of Modern Warfare 2 at launch. Shipment was added to Modern Warfare 2 in Season 1 Reloaded, alongside a special playlist that allows gamers to only play on this map called Shipment 24/7.

Activision frequently changes the available playlists in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, allowing fans to try out a variety of game modes every week, with Shipment also being a part of the rotation. Despite its popularity, the Shipment 24/7 playlist is not permanently available in Modern Warfare 2, and some users can be seen complaining online whenever it’s removed. Now, one gamer aims to solve this problem with an interesting, if controversial, addition to the game.

A Reddit user named redvelts makes a new post stating that Activision should allow Call of Duty fans to earn Shipment tokens in Modern Warfare 2. This will supposedly let gamers use one token to play on the Shipment map, instead of making Shipment 24/7 a permanent addition to Modern Warfare 2.

Like many modern multiplayer games, Call of Duty players earn tokens via gameplay, which can then be turned in to unlock specific items from the battle pass. Users can purchase these tokens with real money as well, making it easier to unlock particular weapons or cosmetic items available in the Modern Warfare 2 battle pass without having to grind. This Shipment token will presumably work similarly, but it appears that other players are completely against this idea.

The comments section of this post is filled with other Call of Duty fans completely rejecting the idea, with one user claiming that it will allow Activision to monetize another aspect of Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer. Many gamers state that Activision should instead allow users to choose the maps they want to play on, with some offering reasonable solutions to the problem.

Many players call for map voting to make a return, a feature that was present in older Call of Duty games before being removed in the last few years. A few users also mention that Activision should just make Shipment 24/7 a permanent part of Modern Warfare 2 while adding more options for fans who prefer to play on other maps.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
