Mob Psycho 100 begins as a monster of the week type of anime wherein the titular Mob joins his master, Arataka Reigen, for some exorcism assignments. Reigen can’t see ghosts at all and cons Mob into doing all of the work. Eventually, more psychics get added to the mix, and the series blows up from there.

There have been many great powers demonstrated in the Mob Psycho 100 anime so far, from blasting holes in walls with the mind to lighting things on fire. What’s next for the anime? Hard to say but for now, let’s rank the coolest techniques. There will be some spoilers for those that care about power reveals for characters.

8 Mob's Pressure

Mob in Mob Psycho 100

There is no name for this power in the anime. When he gets stressed out, a meter will start to build. Once it hits 100%, Mob will go into a Super Saiyan-like trance and become godlike for a short period of time. The first time he goes berserk in the anime is when he faces off against Teruki. His biggest implosion was in the finale against Toichiro in season two. There are too many great examples to name, but overall these overcharged moments are hype as heck.

7 Storing And Absorbing Powers

Toichiro in Mob Psycho 100

Toichiro, so far, is the strongest Esper that Mob has fought in the anime. One of his talents is being able to both steal energy from others along with the ability to store this energy. He says he’s been storing energy for twenty years to make his dream of world domination come true. Toichiro can also give his powers away which he does to create an almost unbeatable army. Mob has these powers as well, making him an even stronger character than he already was.

6 Possession And Memory Reconstruction

Dimple in Mob Psycho 100

Mogami is a close second to Toichiro in terms of enemy power levels. He started as an Esper for good but then got corrupted along the way and turned into an evil spirit. Like Dimple, Mogami is able to possess people but in far stronger capacities.

He also has the power to manipulate memories which he does to Mob after he invades the body of the girl Mogami is controlling. If not for Dimple, Mob might have been trapped in that time loop for eternity in Mob Psycho 100.

5 Teleportation

Ryo in Mob Psycho 100

Teruki is the first Esper to showcase the powers of teleportation. It’s more like his speed is beyond that of human understanding. In season two, a stronger teleporter appears via Ryo. He is literally able to teleport across distances which is an ability that would rule in reality. It’s never said what his limits are for teleportation though so maybe he can’t zap between Japan and the U.S. like it was nothing. It takes almost a dozen of allied Espers to take him down. It’s another one of those fights where luck was on the side of the good guys.

4 Monster Capture

Matsuo in Mob Psycho 100

Matsuo is one of the psychics from the seventh division of Claw. Like his allies, he gets absolutely trounced by Mob and the others in the anime. Still, his ability to be able to capture spirits and control them is a great ability. He’s almost like a Pokemon Trainer but with horrific ghosts instead of cute monsters. He’s even able to capture Mogami after Mob defeats him but Matsuo is ultimately unable to control him in the end. Matsuo doesn't die so presumably he could make an appearance in season 3 along with Mogami.

3 Manipulating Plants

Toshiki in Mob Psycho 100

There is a bit of foreshadowing in the early hours of season two, wherein Mob and Reigen stop a plant-based spirit. They find out it’s not a monster but an actual ghost controlling the plant life. As a reward, Mob is given broccoli seeds which he then accidentally uses to grow the giant broccoli tree at the end of season two.

Mob and this crop spirit aren’t the only two that can control plants. Toshiki is a plant psychic and is one of the four guardians of Toichiro. He’s sort of like Poison Ivy from the Batman franchise. She doesn't have psychic powers, but it is a close enough analogy.

2 Psychic Steroids

Hiroshi in Mob Psycho 100

There are quite a few psychics in Mob Psycho 100 that can use their abilities to enhance their muscles. Hiroshi, another guardian of Toichiro, is perhaps the strongest example, though. He bulges out his muscles so much that he turns red, which might be a reference to the Red Hulk character in the Marvel comics. The only thing stronger than psychic muscles is real muscles which Dimple demonstrates clearly. If the evil Espers in the anime trained both their minds and bodies, they could have been unstoppable.

1 Healing

Ootsuki and Fukuda in Mob Psycho 100

Healing is an underappreciated power in Mob Psycho 100 and other anime as well. Who wouldn’t want the ability to heal a wound at will without an expensive hospital bill? Fukuda, one of Sho’s followers, is able to treat wounds using his psychic abilities. He’s not given much airtime, but it was important for Mob to see him in action. Subconsciously he took note of this power, which led to Mob using his stored energy to heal everyone around him along with giving life to that giant broccoli tree.
