In the final chapter of the game's story mode, Mortal Kombat 1 players are introduced to an endless army of alternate reality kombatants; one of whom is called Janet Cage. For whatever reason, the team over at NetherRealm Studios decided to include this dark doppelganger as one of the five DLC Kameo fighters included in Kombat Pack 1.

Mortal Kombat 1: How to Perform Every Kameo Fatality (& What They Look Like)

Every Mortal Kombat 1 Kameo Fatality is a little different, as evidenced by the accompanying video which shows each of the finishers in action.

Despite there being countless classic Mortal Kombat characters more deserving of the position, Janet Cage is now available in Mortal Kombat 1 and brings with her a brand-new Fatality. Sadly, it's not a particularly good one, even for a Kameo Fatality, but those interested in seeing it for themselves or learning how to perform it can do so right here.

The video featured in this guide contains graphic scenes that have been rated 'Mature' by the ESRB. Viewer discretion is advised.

To perform Janet Cage's Kameo fatality, players will need to press Forward, Back, Forward, Kameo (R1 on PlayStation, RB on Xbox, or R on Switch) while standing at close range. If done correctly, Cage will perform Killing Blow, which is essentially just a glorified version of The Klassic Brutality. She then celebrates by putting on her sunglasses and folding her arms in much the same way that Johnny might. When all's said and done, it's an incredibly underwhelming Fatality even by Kameo Fatality standards, but the victory pose is definitely on point.

How to Unlock Janet Cage in Mortal Kombat 1

Players will need to purchase Janet Cage from their digital storefront of choice before being able to use her. She'll cost $4.99 at launch, although those who already own Kombat Pack 1 or the Premium Edition of Mortal Kombat 1 will be able to get her at no extra charge. However, it's important to note that they'll still need to add the license for her to their account to unlock her, which they should be able to do for free. If they're being shown a price and they definitely own the Kombat Pack on the account that they're trying to download Janet Cage, players should consider reaching out to the storefront or NRS directly to find a solution.
