Mortal Kombat 1's Invasions Mode can be incredibly enjoyable, but it can also start to feel a little repetitive after a while. Thankfully, there are a few things that can help to break up the monotony a little, one of which is Klues. These serve as simple yet sometimes challenging puzzles that reward Mortal Kombat 1 players with unique and useful rewards, including time-limited cosmetics and Invasions Mode items.

Mortal Kombat 1: How to Solve Every Klue in Season 3 of Invasions Mode

Solving all the Klues in Season 3 of Invasions Mode will require some out-of-the-box thinking. That, or the help of a good MK1 Klue solutions guide.

Players will find 11 regular Klues in Season 3 of Invasions Mode, with four more being unlocked once players have beaten Arctic Sub-Zero and acquired the Cryomancer Heart. The RETAL EM EXA Klue can be found behind the locked gate in the Living Forest Mesa and is attached to the FIGHT node. As observant players will no doubt have already realized, the Klue is AXE ME LATER backward, which should make it pretty obvious which kombatant is needed to solve it.

In order to solve the RETAL EM EXA Klue, players will need to perform General Shao's second Fatality. To do so, they'll need to press Down, Forward, Back, Front Punch (Square on PlayStation, X on Xbox, or Y on Switch) while standing at medium range. The positioning can be a little tricky for this one, so players may want to stand a little further back than they usually would for a mid-range Fatality. Assuming they manage it, they'll be treated to General Shao's Axe-ident Fatality, after which, they'll be transported back to the map screen as usual. There, they'll see the nearby debris disappear, granting access to the RETAL EM EXA Klue chest.

RETAL EM EXA Klue Rewards

Upon completing the AXE ME LATER Klue, players will receive a Rare komponent, Sub-Zero's Shiver of Fear palette, Sub-Zero's Herald of Winter palette, and 250 Seasonal Kredits. Players can use the komponent to upgrade any non-Legendary talisman by visiting a forge, while the two Palettes can be equipped by visiting the Kustomize menu. As for the currency, Seasonal Kredits are used to purchase winter-themed cosmetics from the Seasonal Store. However, as they'll expire at the end of the current season, players should make a point of spending them all before then.
