The Invasions Mode of Mortal Kombat 1 can start to get a little repetitive after a while, particularly if players decide to tackle multiple mesas in a single sitting. Thankfully, the game does provide a few moments of respite from the seemingly endless grind. Most of these come in the form of Klue nodes, which reward Mortal Kombat 1 with unique and useful rewards if they're able to solve a simple puzzle.

Mortal Kombat 1: How to Solve Every Klue in Season 3 of Invasions Mode

Solving all the Klues in Season 3 of Invasions Mode will require some out-of-the-box thinking. That, or the help of a good MK1 Klue solutions guide.

The UP IN... Klue can be found on the Tell Us Again node of the Fire Temple Mesa and is a clear reference to Cheech & Chong's iconic stoner comedy Up in Smoke. The missing word makes it clear which kombatant players need to use to solve the Klue, but they'll still need to figure out what exactly they need to do with him in order to earn their rewards.

Those hoping to solve the UP IN... Klue will need to perform Smoke's second Fatality. To do so, players should defeat the first two enemies as usual and then deplete the last one's health bar to trigger the Finish Him message. Upon doing so, they'll need to press Down, Forward, Back, Back Punch (Triangle on PlayStation, Y on Xbox, or X on Switch) while standing at any range. If done correctly, Smoke's Fatality will play out as usual and the debris blocking the path to the nearby chest will be removed once players return to the map screen.

UP IN... Klue Rewards

Inside the chest, players will find the Ghost Shell Epic relic, Li Mei's Law and Algor palette, Kenshi's Setana gear piece, and 250 Seasonal Kredits. The cosmetic items can be equipped in the Kustomize menu, while the relic can be used exclusively in Invasions Mode. As for the Seasonal Kredits, these can be used to purchase new cosmetic items from the Seasonal Store, though players should be sure to use them all before they expire at the end of the season.

Due to a glitch that occurred immediately after Season 3 of Invasions Mode went live, some players may not receive Li Mei's Law and Algor palette or Kenshi's Setana gear piece upon opening the chest. If this is the case, they should find that both items are already unlocked and available for use in the Kustomize menu.
