When compared to most of the other characters who make up the starting roster of Mortal Kombat 1, Li Mei is a relatively new creation. She's still pretty popular with many series fans though and boasts one of the better character arcs in the game's story mode. She also has a couple of really cool finishers which are sure to illuminate any battles in which they're successfully pulled off.

To perform Li Mei's Roman Candle Fatality, Mortal Kombat 1 players will need to press forward, back, forward, front kick while standing at medium range. If triggered correctly, Li Mei will reach into her opponent's chest and pull out their intestines. She then ignites the end that she's holding like a fuse, causing the pink sparkling flame to travel along the intestines. Before the spark can reach the body, she kicks their head high into the air. The spark carries on up the spinal column though, eventually reaching the head and causing it to explode like a firework.

Li Mei's second Fatality can be triggered from close range by pressing back, forward, down, back kick. It sees her stick her hands into the other fighter's chest and pump them full of energy until their arms explode. Next, she rams her fingers into their abdomen and lifts them off the ground, causing their entire upper body to explode like a firework. A pink dragon emerges from the explosion carrying the other fighter's head and carries it over to Li Mei so that she can celebrate with both it and her Kameo fighter of choice.
