To many gamers, Minecraft is the pinnacle of sandbox games as well as one of the most iconic games in history. Minecraft has not only lasted for over a decade, but due to its accessibility, its simplistic style, and its near-limitless opportunities for creativity, it has cemented itself as a perfect game for anyone trying to build a masterpiece.

The type of masterpiece is also irrelevant, as the game allows players to build immense structures, breathtaking works of art, or unbelievable pieces of Redstone machinery. Simple yet beautiful creations like a Minecraft indoor aquarium can coexist with incredibly complicated creations like fully functioning calculators.

However, many consider the more complex creations to be more impressive, leading to constant innovation from the community as they attempt to outdo the latest creation. This leads to insane creations like a fully mobile Minecraft tank that can launch T.N.T., among other awesome creations. Recently, a Reddit post captured another incredible piece of Redstone machinery in the form of a rocket ship that could actually launch into the air.

Reddit user sleeping_Prince was the creator of the rocket, and their clip captured the moment it launched into the air. Though it looks awkward at first due to the motion it makes when taking off, anyone who has seen Redstone vehicles can immediately recognize the genius of the vehicle; the reason each piece moves independently is due to pistons that are constantly pushing them into the air, giving the illusion of a flying rocket. The reality is that the rocket is a structure like a massive Minecraft medieval city, but the pistons move it upward one block at a time making it look like it's flying.

Reddit users loved the rocket creation and many cracked jokes about the structure. One user joked that rocket scientists probably can't stand to see such an easy rocket launch. Another user referenced a classic Toy Story line, saying the rocket wasn't flying, but rather it was climbing with style. Other users were in awe at the fact the rocket was a Redstone structure and not a programmed piece; sleeping_Prince assured commenters that the rocket was indeed a built piece and not a programmed one.

Whether the rocket had been programmed or not, it would not have taken away from the fact that the rocket is an impressive piece of work. As fans of the game continue to craft masterpieces like a realistic drawing of Minecraft's Steve, so too will players continue to create amazing works like sleeping_Prince's amazing rocket.

Minecraft is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
