A Minecraft player created a statue of the axolotl, one of the mobs available in the game. Minecraft has a variety of mobs with different forms and behaviors, such as passive, neutral, and hostile. Although it is possible to play Minecraft solo, the mobs enrich the gameplay by not leaving the player alone in the literal sense.

Among the mobs that the player can encounter in Minecraft is the axolotl. In real life, the axolotl is an amphibian that does not develop from the larval stage, and which according to Aztec mythology was the god of fire and lightning. In Mojang's game, however, the axolotl is just one of the aquatic mobs introduced as part of Minecraft's Caves and Cliffs Part 1 update. Axolotls spawn in rivers in the Lush Caves biome and can come in five different colors: leucistic, brown, gold, cyan, and blue. Interestingly enough despite the cute look, axolotls attack all aquatic mobs, including drowned ones. The only exceptions are turtles, dolphins, and other axolotls.

Even though not one of the smallest mobs in Minecraft, the axolotl still looks adorable and can be tamed, making it a good companion for the player. User AsperaX_OperaliX posted on Reddit a fan art that successfully captures the adorableness of the axolotl, showing the mob with a sort of smile while swimming in the waters. This Axolotl is leucistic in color, and while it was not revealed how many blocks were used to make the statue, the very high degree of detail makes one assume that the amount is huge. Both the statue and the waters where the axolotl appears have been impressively rendered, making the statue even more vivid.

It is possible to do many different things in Minecraft, which increases the chances that each gameplay will hardly be tiresome or boring. One of the ideas is to create statues, and fan art from the community is not lacking. AsperaX_OperaliX is a good example, as the same user previously posted a beautiful statue of Ivysaur made in Minecraft. Another idea is to tame the mobs in the game that can be found or created. These tameable mobs become companions for the player, as they help the gameplay in different ways.

The axolotl statue released by AsperaX_OperaliX would not be possible without Minecraft. Unlike the hefty Forspoken PC system requirements, the player of Mojang's sandbox game does not need a very robust PC to run it. There is also the option of playing on consoles and smartphones. The graphics and platform accessibility, and available features such as mods and texture packs are just some of the reasons that make Minecraft a hit among gamers and even digital artists.

Minecraft is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and legacy platforms.
