Highlights

  • Minecraft and Nerf collaborated to create real-life Nerf guns inspired by Minecraft, and a player has now made in-game models of these guns.
  • The in-game models include replicas of the Minecraft Chicken, Ender Dragon, Ghast, Guardian, Snow Golem, and more.
  • While some Nerf weapons are not included in the player's models, Minecraft and Nerf may release more collaborations in the future, although it is unlikely they will be added to the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft.

A Minecraft player has made in-game models of real-life Nerf guns like the Chicken and Ender Dragon. The Minecraft Nerf guns were first released in 2021, and the lineup included various mobs from the game, but things have gone full circle with this replica concept.

Minecraft was released in 2011, and it was immediately met with impressive player numbers. As Mojang continued to update Minecraft, more players were introduced to the IP, and it remains popular today. With its maintained success, Minecraft and Nerf collaborated to create various Nerf guns inspired by Minecraft. With several mobs having been released since the launch of Minecraft, these focus on a mix of new and old creatures. Inspired by these real-life Nerf guns, one player has modeled most of them as in-game renders.

Reddit user MushirMickeyJoe recently shared an image of eight Minecraft Nerf guns that resemble in-game models. The image includes the Minecraft Chicken, Cave Spider, Elder Guardian, Ender Dragon, Ghast, Guardian, and Snow Golem Microshots. Alongside these Nerf Microshot replicas, MushirMickeyJoe added the Nerf Dragon design which is an alternate build to the Ender Dragon Microshot. Because they're based on existing Nerf guns, these Minecraft weapons are scaled down to be small enough to fit in the player characters' hands. Standing out from the others, the Snow Golem Microshot offers custom reload animations that change how it looks.

Some Minecraft Nerf weapons not included in MushirMickeyJoe's models are the Stormlander Hammer, Heartstealer Sword, Pillager's Crossbow, and Sabrewing Bow. Beyond these Nerf guns, there are also Super Soakers based on the Minecraft Glow Squid and Axolotl. While it doesn't feature all the real-life Nerf weapons, Minecraft has collaborated with Nerf on a Nerf world that includes many of them. The Minecraft Nerf world is available to players for free in the Marketplace. While the Nerf world gives players an idea of how the guns would function in the game, MushirMickeyJoe's design nearly highlights the whole lineup.

Although many Minecraft Nerf weapons are part of the official collaboration, some players may be waiting to see the different ones featured in MushirMickeyJoe's image. Because Minecraft and Nerf just recently worked on the in-game world together, more Nerf guns based on the game may be released in the future. Given that the main Minecraft experience isn't designed with guns in mind, it's unlikely that any of the Nerf lineups will be added to the Bedrock Edition.

Minecraft is available now for mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and legacy platforms.
