In many gamers' eyes, Minecraft is the most influential sandbox game of all time as well as one of the most accessible and well-known games. Between its simple yet intuitive crafting system, endless exploration, and near-endless creative capabilities, Minecraft is most well-known for its large amount of possible creative expression.

While some fans express their creativity through their own real-life art style, such as one fan who drew Minecraft's Steve in a realistic art style, most players express their creativity through the in-game crafting system. From structures to art pieces as well as complicated Redstone creations, Minecraft users constantly push the limits of the game's possible creativity.

Though many of these creations are incredible in their own rite, one thing that most of them are not is mobile; creations such as a massive Minecraft medieval city are entirely stationary, including objects such as flags and boats that are mobile in reality but motionless in-game. However, as stated previously, players are constantly pushing the game's limits, and one player found a way to create a fully mobile and partially controllable creation.

The player in question, Reddit user General_Wonder_6590, posted a clip to the Minecraft subreddit that documents an entirely mobile tank in Minecraft. Not only is the tank mobile, but it can fire TNT blocks to destroy anything in its path. The build uses a massive amount of structure blocks, which are blocks used to save and load pre-made structures, as well as command blocks which input functions when activated. In the case of the tank, the structure blocks seem to continuously spawn the tank in a new position to mimic movements as well as turns, while the command blocks were most likely used for firing the TNT.

Much like one player's fully functioning in-game Minecraft cutscene, General_Wonder_6590's use of structure and command blocks is truly inspired. Players have created moving creations before, but General_Wonder_6590's may be one step further than the rest due to the smoothness of its movement. In the past, players have used Redstone and pistons to mimic movement; while still unbelievably impressive, these creations looked visually strange at times due to the shifting of individual blocks. In General_Wonder_6590's creation, the tank moves quite smoothly in comparison, with the only jarring movement being that of the full 90-degree turns it executes.

Regardless of strange visual movement, General_Wonder_6590's creation is a masterpiece of both creativity and ingenuity. Along with events such as a university holding its entrance ceremony in Minecraft, creations like these continue to push the game forward, allowing for even more complicated ideas and creations to come next.

Minecraft is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
