Mojang Studios, the team behind the sandbox video game Minecraft, has officially revealed that Minecraft Live will be back on October 15, 2023. The official date for the livestream was announced through a recently uploaded, cute teaser trailer, and fans will probably be delighted that the ever-popular Minecraft community activity mob vote is making a comeback in this year's event.

Many fans have probably been anticipating the return of Minecraft Live. Last year, a lot of new features for Minecraft's 1.20 update were introduced, such as the camel mob, crafting with bamboo materials, and craftable items like hanging signs and chiseled bookshelves. Fans were also able to vote for a new mob to be added into the game, with the Sniffer winning the majority of the fan base's vote. Now, the community activity is back, and players are likely very excited to know what choices Minecraft will be offering its players this year.

Announcing that Minecraft Live is returning in 2023, Mojang Studios released a cute trailer video indicating that the event will happen on October 15, 2023, 1:00 PM EDT. The trailer is only two minutes long, but it highlighted many of the sandbox title's gameplay elements and features. It also revealed that Minecraft's fan-favorite mob vote will be happening again this year and that fans will be able to cast their votes through various channels, whether through the live event server, on the website, or the game's launcher. What's more, the teaser hinted that more news and updates about the game will be shared during Minecraft Live 2023.

Unfortunately, Minecraft has yet to reveal any information about the three mobs that fans will be able to choose from during the mob vote. The team also warns the community of the timeframe for voting, which opens on October 13, 2023, 1:00 PM EDT and ends on October 15, 2023, 1:15 PM EDT. This gives fans almost three days to make their decision on what could be the next enemy added to Minecraft. Hopefully the devs provide interesting choices and the players have a lot of fun, no matter the results of the event.

If 2023's Minecraft Live is as exciting as Minecraft Live 2022 and contains the same amount of content, fans have a lot of exciting things to look forward to. And for those who are unable to catch the event live, Minecraft often posts a recap on their website, so they can watch out for that instead.

Minecraft is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and legacy platforms.
