In Minecraft Legends, players will need to make use of all the resources available to them when defending against the Piglin incursion and striking back at their portals and encampments. Initially, this amounts to some basic arrow towers and golems, but with time and effort, options expand to include a tremendous array of defensive structures and powerful mobs.

When considering the strongest defensive structures in Minecraft Legends, Power Towers are certainly some of the best. These three tower types are limited in number during single player, and expensive to acquire and construct in multiplayer. However, they provide incredible utility and can be a boon in both offensive and defensive tactics. One such tower is the Frost Tower, which this guide will explain.

To acquire Frost Towers in Singleplayer, players will first need to scout out those question marks on the world map. With a bit of luck, one of them will be an old Frost Tower, and approaching it will trigger a cutscene where the Hosts explain how it is used. After this, players can create a new improvement at the improvement hubs back at the Well of Fates. This is the "Improvement: Collect Power Towers," and costs 100 Stone and 100 Prismarine.

Once constructed, this allows players to collect Power Towers in the Overworld by expending gold and another resource, which varies based on the type of tower. The Frost Tower requires Diamonds, which are also used in the construction of Skeleton Spawners.

Building the Frost Tower in Multiplayer requires the "Improvement: Build Power Towers" to be constructed at an improvement hub for a cost of 200 stone and 120 prismarine. Once done, the Frost Tower can be constructed for 400 Stone and 600 Diamonds.

How to Use the Frost Tower

As the name implies, the Frost Tower hurls ice blocks that detonate on impact, freezing everything in the blast range solid. This can stagger the enemy charge and leave them vulnerable, ideally in range of some other towers or strong mobs who can take advantage of this opportunity. This works on pretty much every mob type, and a well-positioned Frost Tower can debilitate enemy forces effortlessly, leaving them unable to retaliate while the player's army wreaks havoc.

When it comes to placement, the long range of this tower means it can be placed behind walls and other defenses and still catapult ice blocks into enemy armies with ease. Placing it behind a key chokepoint, such as a gate flanked by scatter towers, is an excellent idea. It's important to put a Carpenter Hut in range of it, since Frost Towers are expensive to replace if destroyed, and cannot be replaced in single player unless another one is found in the Overworld and collected.

Minecraft Legends is Available for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
