A Minecraft fan is showing off an interesting idea for a new structure created with the Pillager enemies in mind, crafting an in-game Pillager prison. Throughout its expansive, procedurally generated world, the sandbox survival game offers plenty of different types of structures and environments for players to explore. Minecraft currently features sixty-four different biome types across the overworld, the Nether, and the End, with plenty of structures like Nether Fortresses and Ocean Ruins. One fan's unique idea would give one of the game's enemies a brand-new home.

Pillagers serve as some of the most fearsome enemies players can find in Minecraft, tasking players with a difficult fight if encountered. Pillagers often travel in groups of up to five enemies, with many using ranged weapons to attack the player from a distance. Pillagers also feature their own in-game base, with Pillagers typically spawning near a Pillager Outpost filled with traps and treasure for players to uncover. Now, a Minecraft fan is imagining a brand-new structure to spice up one of the game's most prevalent enemy types.

Minecraft: 8 Things You Need To Know About Pillagers

In Minecraft, Pillagers can definitely ruin the player's day. Here's everything you need to know about them.

A concept image shared by Reddit user Playsmurf1968 shows off their idea for a brand-new Pillager structure in Minecraft. Referred to as a "Pillager Prison," the user describes it as a "mid-tier loot structure" with two chests hidden inside, suggesting the outpost would contain an armor stand and different pieces of iron armor. Players would have to battle against 2 Vindicators and 4 Pillagers to clear out the dungeon, with a Wandering Trader also trapped in the prison. The user shares that the chests would be stored in the watchtower and the prison's "sleeping quarters."

Minecraft Fan Shares Concept for New Pillager Structure

Replies to the post saw plenty of praise for the user's unique Pillager concept alongside disappointment about Minecraft's handling of Pillagers. One fan points out that Pillagers "need more variety" in their in-game structures, suggesting tents or other small encampments. Pillager Outposts currently serve as Minecraft's only type of in-game structure specifically focused around the Pillager enemies. Several fans also praised the structure for its similarity to Minecraft's traditional in-game buildings, taking clear inspiration from the game's standard designs.

While Pillagers were not the main focus, Minecraft did recently roll out a major new update to the game. The "Tricky Trials" update added several new "trial chambers" for players to tackle, featuring a variety of in-game challenges for major rewards. The Minecraft patch also introduced several new mobs to the game, with the "Bogged" as a poison arrow-shooting Skeleton and the "Breeze" as a wind-based enemy dropping a new type of resource. Tricky Trials looks to give Minecraft fans plenty of new things to do between its new challenges, enemies, and items.
