One of Minecraft's more beloved aspects by fans is the wide range of interesting and diverse mobs that are featured in-game. Some mobs are neutral to players, while others are out to cause havoc, but one thing that links them all is how they have become easily recognizable and have had countless tributes to them by fans who love the mobs no matter their intentions. In a more contemporary example of this, one Minecraft player has shared with Reddit their very own version of the Warden mob that also pays homage to the popular cartoon show SpongeBob SquarePants.

For the uninitiated, the blocky world of Minecraft is littered with all kinds of different creatures, animals, and even foes for players to encounter. This includes, but is not limited to, Villagers, Cows, Sheep, Creepers, and a sky-soaring Ender Dragon. However, the developers have introduced more mobs and NPCs into the game over the years through various free updates. One such creature in Minecraft is the terrifying Warden mob. Infamous within the gaming community for bringing chaos upon stray cave miners who have dug too far down, this looming monster was recently introduced to the game by creators Mojang in the Wild Update.

Despite the Warden being a brand-new addition to the game, fans are still showing the towering mob just as much love as other franchise icons. Here to reinforce this notion of the community, Reddit user Someonewhowa has shared their awesome Minecraft fan art of the Warden that strips the mob of their scariness and replaces it with the bitter turquoise mantle of Squidward Tentacles.

Quickly amassing over 2,000 upvotes in just 8 hours, it's safe to say that Someonewhowa has created not only a hilarious homage to the Warden but also managed to perfectly replicate Squidward's visual characteristics when putting together this blocky re-design. Someonewhowa skillfully translated everything, including Squidward's large floppy nose, wide mouth, and big yellow eyes with rectangular chestnut irises, when assembling this brilliant Minecraft crossover design. On top of this, Someonewhowa paid tribute to Squidward's job at the fast-food restaurant Krusty Krab by including two spatulas on the head of the Warden.

In summary, there have always been many interesting mobs and NPCs in the world of Minecraft. However, fresh additions such as the Goats, the Axolotls, and the Wardens have reinvigorated both the in-game world and the community, as their unique designs help inspire fans to create more entertaining pieces of fan art.

Minecraft is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
