The impressive construction is just one example of the many creative ways that players of Mojang’s block-based builder have given Minecraft’s The End a makeover after eliminating its acid-spewing former inhabitant.
Made up of islands of end stone floating in an infinite black void, the dark dimension of The End definitely lives up to its name. Not only is End Island in Minecraft home to the game’s challenging final boss, the massive Ender Dragon, but it also serves as a potential stopping point for players looking to complete the otherwise open-ended title. Unlike in Creative Mode, where players can simply choose the needed materials from their inventory to create a portal to The End, gamers who choose to take on Minecraft’s challenging Survival Mode must travel across dimensions and defeat countless enemies to find and activate the portal providing access to the endgame area.
Showing just how much a dedicated player can accomplish when they set their mind to something, one talented Minecraft fan shared a video on Reddit of their impressive End base. Posted on r/Minecraft by user CerisTheEndMatriarch, the video gives viewers a whirlwind tour of the sprawling End base created in Minecraft’s Survival Mode. Separated into 8 distinct zones replicating different biomes from the game, the circular End base features an overhead walkway that gives visitors a sky-high view of the massive construction. One especially distinctive section of the impressive base features a rock wall inlaid with nearly every type of ore available in the game.
While not as large in scale as the massive replica of Earth built in Minecraft that was recently showcased by another Survival Mode player, Redditors responding to the video were nonetheless impressed with the colossal construction. Several replies to the post expressed amazement at the amount of work that must have gone into the incredible End base, with one reply stating that they’d never even ventured into The End despite playing Minecraft for many years. Other Redditors were more amused by the choice of intro music for the video, pointing out that it is the same one used by the Linus Tech Tips channel.
