Ahead of Halloween, one Minecraft gamer has made a DIY Enderman costume that would be perfect for trick-or-treating. While there are many spooky things in the procedurally generated worlds of Minecraft, the Enderman is arguably one of the most frightening.
The Enderman is one of the neutral mobs found throughout Minecraft. As one of the earlier mobs added to the game, it has become familiar to most gamers, with its propensity to pick up blocks being especially notable. In addition to being included in Minecraft early on, the mob is known for its creepy design. An Enderman is tall and slender, with an all-black appearance. In addition, they feature glowing purple eyes and can teleport, allowing them to appear seemingly out of thin air.
Taking to Reddit, one user known as tamhamful shared a picture revealing just how well the eerie design of the Enderman translated to a Halloween costume. While the end result was more adorable than scary, it was nonetheless impressive. In the image shared by the creator, it was revealed that the Enderman costume included a block-shaped head that was colored black. While there was a small hole in the middle of the block for the person wearing it to see where they were going, it also had rectangular eyes that appeared to be glowing purple.
Some other highlights included two black, blocky arms, which were used to hold a replica of a TNT block seen in Minecraft. In addition, the person wearing the outfit wore black shoes, black pants, and a black shirt to match the color of the Enderman. Impressively, the Reddit user said they had made the costume on their own, making it even more noteworthy.
While this DIY Enderman costume has likely been a hit for the child lucky enough to wear it trick-or-treating, it has also been popular on the Minecraft subreddit since tamhamful posted an image of it several days ago. With over 5.3K upvotes, the comments section has been full of users complimenting the creator on their Halloween creation. Among the comments, some made jokes about the powers of the Enderman, with one user asking if the person wearing the costume could teleport from house to house while trick-or-treating.
