A new item in the latest update of Minecraft Trails & Tales is the Decorated Pot. Different to flower pots these are larger and require four Pottery Sherd's to be made, they also make for a really great decorative item for bases.

These Pottery Sherds are found in the blocks 'suspicious sand' or 'suspicious gravel' that are found in Trial Ruins, Ocean Ruins, Desert Temples and Desert Wells. Gamers don't need four of the same sherds, they can mix and match to make a unique pot with four different sides. Here is every Pottery Sherd in the game and where to find them.

20 Angler Pottery Sherd

Angler Pottery Sherd

This Pottery Sherd is based off of a fishing rod, and it would look perfect to represent buckets of fish in a dock or a fishing cabin. To find this one, gamers will need to search in warm ocean ruins and look our for that suspicious gravel.

Using the brush tool to carefully break down the gravel, do not use a shovel as both the block and the item inside of it will be destroyed also. Not only can the player find pottery sherds in suspicious blocks they can also find gems like emeralds and diamonds and also the new Armor Trims.

19 Archer Pottery Sherd

Archer Pottery Sherd

The Archer is a nod to the bow and arrows of Minecraft and this is represented on this Pottery Sherd and ergo the Decorated Pot that could be made from it. Bow and arrows are some of the signature weapons in the game, so it is no surprise that Mojang have given them a pot.

To find this Sherd the Desert Temple is where to look, they all around the large structure so chances are one of these will pop up in the suspicious sand. Desert temples are tough to traverse as they are booby trapped with TNT and evil mobs who lurk from within.

18 Arms Up Pottery Sherd

The Arms Up sherd do not really represent anything in the game, it is a man with his arms up, not much else to say. It is nice to have such a wide variety of these pots as they all make for great decoration pieces. It may be used as a decoration piece to represent a happy environment.

In order to find this one, gamers will have to search in Desert Wells, they spawn in Desert biomes or in Desert Villages. They are fairly common, so it should be easy to locate this sherd.

17 Blade Pottery Sherd

Blade Pottery Sherd

It will look so cool as a decoration piece in an armory, the Blade Pottery Sherd is of course a sword, and it can be found in Cold Ocean Ruins. Maybe lost from an ancient battleship that has sunken to the seafloor and lost in time.

To create a Decorated Pot for the Blade put four of the Sherd's into a crafting table and the pot will be made. Pairing this one with the Archer will create a lovely weapon themed decoration for an armory.

16 Brewer Pottery Sherd

Brewer Pottery Sherd

The Brewer is a based off of a potion bottle, it will look the part in a brewing lab as a display piece. Gamers could imagine that this pot holds some potions inside of it, however nothing can be held inside these pots as they are purely decor.

If the player wants to get their hands on Brewer then they should search in Desert Wells, brushing that suspicious sand and the treasure will hopefully reveal itself. Wells make sense for this one as broken pots may have been thrown down the well and lost beneath the waters below.

15 Burn Pottery Sherd

For the gamers who have a fiery side, the Burn Pottery Sherd makes reference to fire a common theme in Minecraft. Fire is used in campfires, furnace and of course in the Nether. This will be perfect for a base in the Nether, or as a pot that represents some flammable liquid, it will look the part in a lab build.

This is found in the latest structure in Minecraft, the Trail Ruins. These are mud and terracotta structures that are meant to be ancient villages, that have been worn down and lost in time.

14 Danger Pottery Sherd

There wouldn't be a new decoration piece without representing the most iconic creature in the game, the Creeper. This is exactly what the Danger Sherd and Pot do.

To find this Creeper Sherd gamers will need to search in Trail Ruins, brush that suspicious sand and this treasure may reveal itself. Look out for creepers when doing so or face a very ironic end. Pairing this one with the Burn pot will be perfect to represent some sort of explosion. The pot could also be used as a way to alert other players to creeper attacks.

13 Explorer Pottery Sherd

The Explorer Pottery Sherd represents a map, it will not look out of place as part of the furniture in a map room. Cold Ocean Ruins are the location to search in order to obtain this sherd and turn it into a Decorated Pot.

If the player is lucky enough then they will also find an Armor Trim hiding in these ruins as well, or even some more rare items such as diamonds or emeralds. Armor Trims are a way to customize armor and each structure have their own hidden inside of them.

12 Friend Pottery Sherd

It may be hard to work out, but this Sherd is based off a Villager, a gentile remind that Villagers are friends and must not be killed. When created into a pot this will look perfect in a village or even a villager breeder.

But first gamers will need to locate the Sherd, and they can do so in Trail Ruins, fitting as they are meant to represent ancient villages. There are a lot of different villagers inside the game and this one just represents the basic design.

11 Heart Pottery Sherd

This one isn't really anything to do with Minecraft, but it is a heart, a symbol of love and affection. Everyone's world could do with some love, and it could be in the form of this Pottery Sherd. It may represent lives on the game, so make sure that they are nice and healthy when searching for these sherds.

To find it search among Trail Ruins and the player may be rewarded for their efforts with an ingredient for a Decorated Pot such as this one.

10 Heartbreak Pottery Sherd

Heartbreak Pottery Sherd

The opposite of the Heart, the Heartbreak, gamers could use this one to break up with the significant other or use it as a way to let other members of the server know they are feeling down. The Heartbreak also when the player is being hurt on the game and their lives are being depleted.

Whatever the use for this Pottery Sherd is, gamers will need to head to Trail Ruins and brush away at the suspicious sand or gravel to look for the Heartbreak.

9 Howl Pottery Sherd

This is the one for dog lovers, the Howl if of course a dog or a wolf as they are both the same in Minecraft. It could be used to represent some dog food or as some decoration in a kennel. Everyone loves dogs, so this one will be a firm favorite for many players once the update is live.

Trail Ruins are where to go if the player wants to find this Sherd, lore wise this explains that even the ancient villagers had canine companions just like they do in the modern Minecraft age.

8 Miner Pottery Sherd

This design was just nailed on to become a Decorated Pot, the Miner is, of course, the iconic pickaxe. It will look ideal inside a mine or in a base to represent what this game is all about. The pickaxe is one thing that represents the game, so gamers will want to make sure they collect this sherd and turn it into a pot.

Desert Temples are the location of this Sherd, but make sure to not use an actual Pickaxe on the suspicious sand or face losing the reward hidden inside.

7 Mourner Pottery Sherd

The Mourner Sherd represents the Warden, the big bad of Minecraft received a lot of love in the Trails and Tales Update receiving a Decorated Pot and two Armor Trims in its honor.

But despite this Ancient Cities don't hold Pottery Sherd, so gamers will need to head to Cold Ocean Ruins to track down this broken piece of ceramic. Lore wise this may explain that the warden was once on the surface as pots of him exist but have now been lost in the depths.

6 Plenty Pottery Sherd

The Plenty Sherd appears to be based on some armor, tying this nicely with the other big feature of the update the Armor Trims. An armory would be a perfect location for this Decorated Pot, perhaps representing some storage for tools or other materials to repair armor.

To find this Sherd Cold Ocean Ruins are the place to search, but on that turtle shell or build a conduit and dive to look for the suspicious sand or gravel in the depths of the ocean. Keep an eye out for drowned and their tridents.

5 Prize Pottery Sherd

Eyes are indeed on the prize with this Sherd, the Prize is decorated with a diamond. A Sherd to show how wealthy the player is it will look ideal in a bank or safe build.

Just like the Ancient Egyptians were buried with their treasures the Desert Temples have their own treasures inside of them as the location of this Decorated Pot material. Diamonds are hard to find in the game, so hopefully gamers will have better look in finding this Sherd in the desert.

4 Sheaf Pottery Sherd

Sheaf may not mean much to some viewers, but a sheaf is a bundle of grain stalks, which is exactly what the Wheat icon is in Minecraft. This Sherd represents an important part of the game which is farming.

The location of this one is no surprise that it is the Trail Ruins, the villagers of the past most definitely farmed, and this agricultural Sherd illustrates this fact. This pot would look perfect inside a farm or barn build to represent grains of wheat stored with in.

3 Shelter Pottery Sherd

Trees are prominent in Minecraft, they are essential to everything, the first thing that most players break first. It is no shock that the tree got its own pot, and it is in the form of the Shelter Pottery Sherd.

To find this Sherd, not Shard, then head to Warm Ocean Ruins, shocking that the biome which has no trees has a tree-based Sherd within it. It would be more fitting to have this one in a Woodland Mansion, but considering these are really rare it is probably better that they are in underwater ruins.

2 Skull Pottery Sherd

One of the coolest Sherds in the game the Skull is of course based on a skull. A Skeleton one to be exact, one of the many mobs to receive new life in a Decorated Pot. This pot could be used in a dungeon or crypt build to add some spooky decoration. Get this one out for Halloween.

To make the Skull Pot then gamers will need to search high and low in the Desert Temples, quite a spooky location, so it is fitting that the Skull Sherd is here.

1 Snort Pottery Sherd

The Snort Sherd is perhaps one of the best as it represents the latest mob to be introduced in the game, the Sniffer, the Sniffer is a mob that can sniff out various unique decorative plants out of dirt and moss blocks. This pot could be used decorated a base for the new mob.

The Sniffer cannot spawn naturally, it can only be hatched from Sniffer eggs that can be found in suspicious blocks just like the Sherds. To find the Snout sherd then Warm Ocean Ruins are the location to search.
