A Minecraft fan with access to the first Snapshot of the upcoming Trails and Tales 1.20 update has taken a comprehensive screenshot including all the important new blocks, mobs, and other content. The Trails and Tales update has been a very long time coming and will feature Camels, Sniffers, hanging signs, and a wealth of other additions that are, according to previews, going to be a huge boon for builders.

Even though Minecraft is one of the most popular infinitely replayable games, more content is never bad, and developer Mojang seems to understand this. To keep players happy for a while longer, the game's update 1.20 includes many key new features and content, with the addition of archeology being a particularly notable highlight.

Mojang has started releasing the first official Snapshot build of Minecraft 1.20, with the Java version of the game being the first to get it. Reddit user Breakingerr has decided to use this opportunity to properly demo all the big additions to the game with a handy screenshot that others can easily reference. Breakingerr has put all the new blocks, items, and mobs together in an organized fashion, with Camels, Sniffers, cherry blossom trees, and the new Armor Trim feature being the obvious highlights.

As another Reddit user, elwood612, explained, update 1.20 is one of the most exciting content releases the game has had in quite a while. Many believe Minecraft updates need to rely on player ingenuity to a greater extent, and opening its sandbox up to further upgrades and introducing various new creative tidbits is sure to result in many inventive new builds. As this is still an early Snapshot of the game, however, it's worth pointing out that it's possible more stuff could be added before the full release of 1.20.

Of particular note are Minecraft's new pots and the archeology feature. As Breakingerr's screenshot plainly shows, a great number of pots are being added to the game with 1.20, and the only way to find them will be for players to keep an eye out for suspicious blocks of Sand and Gravel on their travels. These items are mostly decorative features, so they might not be too interesting to virtual Minecraft engineers, but they're a neat addition regardless.

It goes without saying that all these changes and upgrades may end up changing which Minecraft biomes have the best loot. The addition of archeology alone may change the flow of the game, but with players having only just received access to the Snapshot build of 1.20, the update is still rather mysterious in more ways than not.

Minecraft is available on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and legacy platforms.
