Take one look at Miitopia and it is easy to tell that this game is going to be goofy. That isn't a bad thing by any means, though, and the game doesn't shy away from this at all. Fully leaning into its zany attitude and world building, players might suspect that this would correlate to a shorter game or one made without much effort, but once again this isn't the case. As with many RPGs, the game's length can be somewhat surprising, and it does a great job of toeing the line between being long for the sake of doing so and being too short.
Miitopia lets players send their very own Miis out on adventures across the titular land of Miitopia. Whether these characters are made in the player's own likeness or to represent some other character from a different franchise is up to each player, but the concept remains the same. This somewhat goofy Nintendo game defies expectations when it comes to length, though.
According to HowLongToBeat.com, Miitopia will take on average about 30 hours to complete. This is already a decent amount of time for a game running at a $50 price tag, and that is assuming players simply rush the main story. This also could change by a few hours depending on the player's skill, speed, and general playstyle. Those players that opt to engage with more of the game's side quests and other optional content can easily get much more time out of it, though, with an average of around 45 hours give or take.
On the other end of the spectrum, those brave souls that want to 100% Miitopia will need to set aside quite a bit of time to do so. Although not many players have reported their time from this method at the time of writing, it seems as though this will take players around 60 hours or more depending on their pacing. Miitopia isn't a long game necessarily, but it will definitely provide many hours of fun even for casual players. The truly dedicated can practically double their time with the game by going for the 100%.
It's important to keep in mind that this is just an estimate based on the time it took other players to complete the game. As the Switch version is still very new, it's possible that more players will submit times and a more accurate estimate will be found. Regardless, players should just enjoy their time with Miitopia rather than trying to rush through the game or stretch it out.
