Miitopia: All Amiibo Costumes

The new remake of the 3DS game Miitopia is nearly identical to the original. One of the many things that has not changed between the 3DS and the Switch version of Miitopia is the ability to use amiibo to get new costumes for characters in the game.

Since both the 3DS and the Switch have the ability to scan amiibo, players can use all these collectible statues for Miitopia. Some aiimbo will give players additional, Nintendo-themed clothing, while others will grant the player 3 tickets for the games at the inn. Either way, scanning all possible amiibo is great idea.

Additional Costumes

For the most part, any amiibo of the following characters will get players the costume of that character. If the character is not listed, there will be no costume reward for that amiibo, but it will grant tickets. Scannable items that are not amiibo, such as the Animal Crossing villager cards that were sold at high prices last year, do not offer any rewards to the player, not even tickets.

There doesn't seem to a limit to the number of amiibo that players can scan in a day to get additional tickets for the games at the inn, so players can scan to their hearts content, grabbing up as many tickets as they can. If players are looking for other costumes not listed here, they should look to see if there is already a Miitopia character creation access key code for that character online.

How to Scan amiibo on the Switch

Players can't scan amiibo immediately in Miitopia. First, players will have to complete a few quests. Within the first hour or so of the 30-hour long Miitopia, players will unlock the Nintendo Fan NPC, who will appear in the overworld map. Interact with this NPC by pressing A. Then they will ask if players want to use an amiibo. There are several possible locations for the amiibo scanner, depending on which controller or Switch a player is using.
