Marvel's Midnight Suns continue with the unique marketing of Deadpool hijacking the official Twitter account until he is added to the game by leaking concept art for two more characters, Morbius and Venom. While Deadpool has yet to join the Midnight Suns roster, the Merc With A Mouth leak revealed new outfits for both of the classic anti-heroes. Morbius was one of the original Midnight Sons in the early 90s Marvel even though this time he appears to be on the villainous side while Venom's allegiances, like his suit, are constantly shifting.

The turn-based tactical card gameplay of Midnight Suns will see players take control of a diverse roster of Marvel heroes, from Wolverine and Captain America to the mystical New Mutant Magik and Runaway's Nico Minoru. Opposing the player will be a lineup of villains including Sabretooth, Lillith and members of HYDRA. Creative Director Jake Solomon revealed a final playable character will be earned by beating the game while there is the potential for others to join the roster through DLC.

Deadpool's tweets of Morbius and Venom show both characters with new gold-accented looks matching the aesthetic of the rest of the heroic cast. Traditionally Morbius is seen in a dark blue outfit with a ripped red cape while Venom sports a black and white look. No new gameplay footage was shown of either character and while Venom was first seen back in Midnight Suns' reveal trailer this is the first good look at Morbius' design.

Morbius and Venom being included in Midnight Suns makes sense given they both recently had their own movies. While Deadpool's tweet plays off the Eddie Brock face reveal as not a big deal, multiple characters have been Venom over the years which always leaves open the possibility Venom could be Flash Thompson, Mac Gargan, or Eddie's son and current comic book Venom Dylan Brock. The inclusion of original character The Hunter as Midnight Suns' protagonist shows Firaxis will not be beholden to existing comic book history regarding the plot of Midnight Suns.

Plenty of supernatural Marvel characters could still potential be a part of Midnight Suns, such as recent Disney+ stars Werewolf by Night and Man-Thing. Deadpool's Twitter takeover shows no signs of ending which means it could last up to the December 2nd release date for Midnight Suns. More characters may be revealed before that date as playable heroes, villains or DLC.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns launches December 2 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S with PS4, Switch, and Xbox One versions coming later.
