While combat is an enormous part of Marvel's Midnight Suns, dressing for said combat is a fun perk for players. There are quite a few customization options for the playable character, the Hunter, and some clothes and suits for the various hero companions inside and outside of battle. Most outfits are purchased using in-game currency, but some suits can be unlocked via gameplay and the storyline.

Players can edit themselves and the others at the Abbey, a home base located in another dimension. Hero suits are purely cosmetic except for a few for the Hunter and story purposes. Anytime outside a mission, players can customize downtime and combat fits to shape their play through experience. A popular choice is the Midnight Sun suit available for every hero, but getting ahold of them is a long process that requires currency, updating the Forge, and relationship building to complete.

Build the Forge Armory Upgrade

Midnight Suns Forged in Hellfire

The first step to unlocking the Midnight Sun suit in Marvel's Midnight Suns is to upgrade the Forge with the Armory. The Forge is where Dr. Strange and Tony Stark spend most of their time and is the hub for all new abilities, skill cards, combat items, and more for the heroes. Whenever specific missions are complete, players are rewarded with Ancient Artifacts that can be researched and used to craft new items and abilities. The mission rewards can be reviewed whenever selecting one.

The Ancient Artifacts must be broken down by Dr. Strange (with the players prompting) and then researched to add equipment to the Forge. Doing this daily will quickly increase the research level and expand tool options. For example, the Armory will be available at research level 4. Additionally, players should also take Ghost Rider on four missions with them. Only one mission a day can be completed, so working on research and missions should be done in tandem.

Midnight Suns Challenges

After meeting both conditions, the Forged in Hellfire research appears and will result in the Armory upgrade for 175 Credits. To earn credits, explore the Abbey grounds and find yellow credit orbs, collectibles, and arcane chests. Some missions will also have credits as a potential reward. The Armory will take one day to complete, and players will get a new option in the Forge called Challenges. The Armory Challenges are individual missions for each hero that reward them with the Midnight Sun suit and their Legendary Ability.

How to Unlock Hero Armory Challenges

To get the rest of the heroes' players must max out their friendship levels. To increase friendship, take them on missions, join hangouts, visit havens, complete daily sparring, and give them their favorite gifts. Saying the right things during conversation is important too. Players will typically get different conversation options that the heroes will react positively or negatively to depending on who they are or how they feel. The max friendship level is 5, so it will take some time to get all of them.

The Hunter is the only character whose Armory Challenge is available immediately. The Armory Challenges require lots of strategy and function as puzzles more than anything else. The hero will take on the mission alone and only have specific cards to use against opponents, so they don't follow the typical rules of missions.

Marvel's Midnight Suns is available now for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, and is coming soon to PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
