It's hard to fathom how far games have come visually in the past forty or so years. But one series may have come further than any since originally launching in 1976 - Microsoft Flight Simulator. In many spots, the game genuinely looks like real life, as Microsoft Flight Simulator has evolved into a visual spectacle.

Another video has released today, a part of the "Around the World Tour" series, and frankly, it seems like it can't possibly look any better. Microsoft Flight Simulator is a stunning game to behold, and the newest video from Microsoft reminds of this.

The North America - Around the World Tour video was just posted on YouTube and it shows gameplay over various parts of the continent with amazing detail. Whether flying over Yellowstone National Park, Seattle, Mexico City, Miami, or Denali Alaska, the footage shows off landmarks, skylines, and amazing geography. The usage of the real-world map and all of the details provided are part of the reason Microsoft Flight Simulator reviewed so well.

This video is amazing for all, but it's particularly neat to view for members of North America, or those who have visited the locations. Seeing a sky view of a home town, say Philadelphia PA or Toronto Canada in the game looking entirely life-like is remarkable.

The Around the World videos will also show fans footage across Oceania, Asia, The Middle East, Africa, Europe, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean in a six-part series. Some areas are particularly exciting because Microsoft is still updating the game to include more detailed locals, as Japan is receiving an update in Microsoft Flight Simulator, for example.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is available now on PC.
