The Gravity Suit is an upgrade in Metroid Prime Remastered that players will find in the Phendrana Drifts' Gravity Chamber. This upgrade gives Samus the ability to move quite freely underwater, and it plays a very important role in the next areas that players are to visit. This walkthrough is here to provide more details on those areas, and it will help fans continue to progress after obtaining the Gravity Suit in Metroid Prime Remastered.

Metroid Prime Remastered: After Gravity Suit Walkthrough

With the Gravity Suit equipped, Metroid Prime Remastered players will have the ability to access a second Wave Beam door within the Gravity Chamber, and it leads to Chamber Access and ultimately to the Hunter Cave. Here, players should follow the path on the right, use the Wave Beam door to reach Hunter Cave Access, and continue to the Frozen Pike. Fans should then climb to door at the top of this room, pass through Transport Access, and ride the elevator to Magmoor Caverns South.

Magmoor Caverns

After visiting the Save Station that is situated behind the elevator, players should make their way to Transport to Tallon Overworld West. This elevator can be reached by passing through the Magmoor Workstation, Geothermal Cave, and Twin Fires, and Metroid fans should ride the lift upon arrival. When this ascent concludes, players should make their way through the Root Cave and Tallon Canyon to reach the Landing Site.

Tallon Overworld

Players should now take a moment to use Samus's ship to make a save in Metroid Prime Reamstered and then navigate behind the ship and to the right. Here, fans will find a Morph Ball tunnel that they can use to reach the Waterfall Cavern, and they can Morph Ball through a tight passage that leads to the Frigate Crash Site. Players will be confronted by a large pool of water upon reaching this room, and they should jump in and head to the back-right corner.

Frigate Crash Site

There is a tunnel underwater in this position, and fans should assume Morph Ball form, pass through it, and then return to land. Players will now find themselves next to a large crashed vessel, which can be entered by using Metroid Prime Remastered's Ice Beam on a door that is hidden behind some crates. Upon entry, players should pass through the Frigate Access Tunnel and continue to advance until they reach Ventilation Shaft Section B.

There is a door without power in this shaft section, and players can use Metroid Prime Remastered's Thermal Visor to see that there is a conduit above it. Hitting that conduit with a shot from the Wave Beam will restore power to the door, allowing players to advance into Ventilation Shaft Section A and ultimately the Reactor Core.

Players should drop to the bottom in this submerged room and activate the Thermal Visor. This will reveal that there are four conduits scattered throughout the Reactor Core, and fans should shoot them all with Metroid Prime Remastered's Wave Beam in order to activate a door leading to Reactor Access. Notably, there is a Save Station attached to Reactor Access, which fans should take a moment to use.

Once a save has been made, players should use the Thermal Visor to locate two conduits within Reactor Access, which can be used to restore power to its large door. Cargo Freight Lift to Deck Gamma is beyond that door, and players can use a Missile to access the Energy Tank that is in the vessel ahead. Fans should then make their way to the top of the room, using their Thermal Visors to locate three conduits, one of which is on aforementioned vessel's exterior, during the ascent.

If all three of these conduits have been hit with a Wave Beam, players will be able to pass into the Deck Beta Transit Hall and Biohazard Containment. Fans should jump into the water in this room, scan the Aqua Drone, and then hit a Cordite door with one of Metroid Prime Remastered's Super Missiles to earn a Missile Expansion. With that collectible obtained, players can use their Thermal Visor to find three more conduits and send power to a door in the water.

Fans should now continue to advance until they reach Biotech Research Area 1, where they will need to activate another three conduits. This will make it possible for players to reach the Connection Elevator to Deck Beta, and they can scan an Aqua Sac on the wall before dropping and entering the Hydro Access Tunnel.

This is a Morph Ball section, and the physics of the water make it possible to string together multiple aerial Morph Ball Bomb jumps. While fans need not perform this technique to get through the Hydro Access Tunnel, it must be employed to reach an Energy Tank that is at the top of a long vertical shaft. The trick here is to place one of Metroid Prime Remastered's Morph Ball Bombs just before reaching the highest point of an ascent, and fans will need to string together two jumps to claim the upgrade.

The Great Tree Hall is on the other side of this Morph Ball section, and players should climb out of the water to reach a Spinner. Using Metroid Prime Remastered's Boost Ball within this device will open a nearby gate, though fans should not pass through it right now. Instead, players should use an Ice Beam door to enter Transport Tunnel E and ride the elevator that they encounter to travel to the Phazon Mines East.

Phazon Mines

Upon arriving in the Phazon Mines, players should pass through Quarry Access to reach the Main Quarry. There is a short Spider Ball Track on the left side of this room that leads to a Save Station, and fans of Metroid games should head to it straightaway. To note, players must pass through a long and difficult section of the game before they will have the opportunity to save again, and they should be very careful with their health from the moment that they leave this station.

Back in the Main Quarry, players should destroy the Mega Turrets to their left, ascend the walkway near the center of the room, cross the bridge, and continue to climb to reach a crane. Activating the Thermal Visor in this position will reveal a conduit, which players should hit with a Wave Beam to turn on the crane's controls. Scanning those controls will cause the crane to move its position, and Nintendo fans can use its Spider Ball Track to reach a Missile Expansion.

Players can now return to the ground in the Main Quarry and scan two points that are on the path leading to the orange force field. This scanning will cause the field to dissipate, giving fans access to an Ice Beam door leading to Security Access A. Here, players will find more Turrets, which can be disabled by scanning the terminal to their right.

The Mine Security Station is beyond those Turrets, and fans will encounter Wave Troopers within it. These Metroid Prime Remastered enemies must be dispatched with the Wave Beam, and players should pass through the Wave Beam door in the ceiling to reach Security Access B when the job is done.

After shooting some metal pipes and advancing through Security Access B, fans of Retro Studios will find themselves in Elite Research. Notably, players should make sure to scan the Phazon Elite that they encounter in this room, as it provides a missable Log Book entry. Players should also scan the two terminals on the first floor. One of those terminals will provide Pirate Data, while the other will activate some platforms that should be used to reach the second floor. Again, players will need to confront some enemies in this location, and there is another terminal to scan and more platforms to climb thereafter.

Once players reach the third floor of Elite Research, they must dispatch a Power Trooper that Metroid Prime Remastered's Samus Aran can only damage with her Power Beam. This enemy guards a terminal and a Spinner, and fans should scan the adjacent walls to locate one with "8% integrity" when they are safe. Players should then Boost Ball within the Spinner to point the ceiling-mounted gun at that wall and scan the terminal to reveal a Missile Expansion.

Fans should now use the Spinner once again to direct the gun toward the wall that is directly across from the terminal. Another quick scan will cause the gun to fire, allowing players to enter an Ice Beam door that leads to Research Access. Here, fans should use Metroid Prime Remastered's Spider Ball to carefully descend the track and avoid taking damage from the rotating blades.

Ore Processing is beyond this dangerous section, and fans should dispatch the Power Troopers that they encounter upon entry. With those foes out of the way, fans can focus on a Morph Ball puzzle that centers around the rotation of the central column. The first step toward solving this puzzle is locating the associated device on the first floor and entering the Morph Ball slot on its back.

Players should now place Morph Ball Bombs inside the slot until the central column's blue Spider Ball Track is aligned with the blue Spider Ball Track that hangs over the second level. Fans of action video games can then use the blue Spider Ball Track to reach that second level, locate another device, and then place Morph Ball Bombs inside its slot until the red Spider Ball Track on the central column is aligned with the red Spider Ball Track that hangs over the third level. Players must now return to the first floor to align the bottom section of the red Spider Ball Track and then use the track to reach an Ice Beam door on the third level.

Elevator Access A is just past that door, and once again players must roll down a Spider Ball Track to avoid taking damage. Fans should then use the elevator to travel to Phazon Mines Level Two, enter Elite Control Access, and shoot at an explosive crate that rests on a platform to reveal a Missile Expansion.

Elite Control is the next room that players will encounter, and it is home to a fairly powerful enemy known as the Elite Pirate. Fans should scan this supersized Space Pirate, use Super Missiles to dispatch it as quickly as possible and then scan the nearby terminals to obtain three Pirate Data entries. With those entries secured, players can ascend the room's walkway, use their Ice Beams to dispatch several Ice Troopers, and scan terminals at the top to obtain five more pieces of Pirate Data and to drop a nearby force field.

There is an Ice Beam door in the ceiling beyond that force field, which leads to the Ventilation Shaft and ultimately Omega Research. Here, fans should descend the nearby platforms, use the scan point to drop the force field, dispatch the enemies, and equip the Scan Visor in Metroid Prime Remastered to get a Pirate Data entry from a nearby terminal. Players should then feel free to drop through an Ice Beam door to reach Dynamo Access and navigate to the Central Dynamo.

Fans should not be too hasty when entering this room, as there is a cloaked drone patrolling. While players cannot lock onto this enemy, they can hit it by aiming manually, and they should take it out quickly with Missiles. Once the drone is down, fans can drop into the Central Dynamo and use Metroid Prime Remastered's Morph Ball form to access a maze that is below the room's central grate.

This maze simply requires players to avoid running into electrical currents, and they will encounter water puddles as they make their way through. Placing Morph Ball Bombs on those puddles will shut down the adjacent currents and allow fans to reach their next power-up: the Power Bomb. Notably, there is a Save Station through an Ice Beam door within the Central Dynamo that can be accessed after the Power Bomb has been collected.
