Boost Ball is a Morph Ball upgrade in Metroid Prime Remastered that players will obtain in the Phendrana Drifts' Phendrana Canyon. This upgrade is used to get short bursts of speed while in Morph Ball form, and it allows Samus to roll up half-pipes and reach new areas. For those players that may be unclear about exactly which new areas they should be targeting after getting Boost Ball in Metroid Prime Remastered, this walkthrough is here to help.

After collecting the Boost Ball upgrade, players should drop into Phendrana Canyon and use their new ability in the ice half-pipe to boost Metroid Prime Remastered's Samus Aran up to a path on the right. This is a good opportunity to get some practice with Boost Ball, and fans can maximize Samus's height by releasing B and receiving the boost just as she is about to ascend one of the ramp's sides.

With some Boost Ball practice under their belts, players should backtrack all the way to the Phendrana Shorelines, stop by the Save Station, and take the elevator back to Magmoor Caverns West. Metroid fans should then enter Monitor Station and use the door that is across the room and on ground level to travel to the Shore Tunnel. The Fiery Shores is just past that hallway, and players should use the Morph Ball tunnel on the left side of the room.

After exiting that tunnel, players should destroy the nearby crates and roll into the Morph Ball maze that is beyond. A Missile Expansion awaits fans that make it to the end of this maze, and they should continue on to Transport Tunnel B when it has been collected. This tunnel will lead players to the Tallon Overworld West elevator, which they should ride.

When this ascent into Tallon Overworld West concludes, Metroid Prime Remastered players should pass into another Transport Tunnel B and grab a Missile Expansion from under the bridge that they encounter. Fans should then continue into Root Cave, climb to reach a door leading to Root Tunnel, and pass through to travel to Tallon Canyon.

Upon entering Tallon Canyon, players should drop all the way to the ground and head a few steps to the left. Here, fans of classic Metroid games will find a very tall stone half-pipe, and they should use Boost Ball to reach an opening at the top of the ramp on the left side. Notably, the timing on this can be a bit tricky, due to the height of the half-pipe, and players should do their best to release fully-charged Boost Balls precisely when they are starting to ascend a side.

Once the half-pipe has been overcome, players should cross the bridge and use Metroid Prime Remastered's Morph Ball Bombs to destroy a series of walls that block their path. This action will give fans access to the Gully, which can be used to reach a position in the Landing Site that overlooks Samus's ship. From here, players should simply jump across the gap, enter the door on their left, and collect the Space Jump Boots that are housed in the Alcove.

Metroid Prime Remastered is available on the Nintendo Switch.
