The Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 has received a major update to the games' Steam versions, making even more games in the compilation compatible with Steam Deck. The compilation of classic Konami games saw some of the franchise's most popular games available, featuring the PS1 and PS2 trilogy as well as both NES games. The Metal Gear collection also includes a variety of bonus features, like the Metal Gear Solid graphic novels and art books for each of the games. Now, the collection is receiving an update that will be welcome news to Steam Deck players.

The reveal of the Metal Gear compilation was just one of a pair of major recent announcements for the franchise. Konami officially confirmed the long-rumored Metal Gear Solid 3 remake early last year with the announcement of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. The developer would later confirm that the remake will feature the return of the game's original cast, including David Hayter reprising his iconic role as Solid Snake. Now, fans of the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection are getting a nice bonus to the Steam releases.
