April 2023 saw Behavior Interactive release the highly-anticipated, post-apocalyptic raid and build title Meet Your Maker, which has demonstrated strong replayability since it graced consoles and PCs across the globe. The creators of Dead By Daylight challenge players to raid the wastelands for resources whilst simultaneously devising the perfect death trap to protect their own.

Meet Your Maker plays host to a variety of features that provide unique experiences for both raiders and builders alike. Among the guards, traps, and unique upgrades available in the game, players also have the choice between the Ironside or Kamaitachi suits, depending on their preference between ranged and melee-heavy offense. Both offer perks, or Biolinks, to enhance the suit's abilities and give Custodians an advantage during raids. Given that only one Biolink can be active at a time, players would benefit from considering which perk best suits their play style.

6 Shot Tracker

One of the main frustrations of the gameplay in Meet Your Maker is the limited ammunition in its ranged weapons, and the inability for players to reload. While this can be irritating when a shot goes astray or a projectile sinks into a wall or ceiling that is out of reach, the lack of resources for a sustained ranged offense adds to the authenticity of the game, given the wasteland setting.

For Custodians who make a mistake with their ammo and misfire, the Shot Tracker Biolink is the ticket to retrieval of the precious bolts. This perk allows players to track the location of their stray bullets so that they can be collected and recycled. This benefit applies to the Ironside suit and can track ammo for up to 40 meters at its mastery level.

5 Rapid Fire

The Rapid Fire Biolink is fairly self-explanatory. However, it cannot be understated how useful this perk can be to get players out of sticky situations. Mastery in this perk will grant players a 20% improvement on their ranged weapon's fire rate, which makes pulling the trigger far more efficient when multiple adversaries are on the Custodian's tail.

While the Rapid Fire perk would be beneficial to either of the ranged weapons available in Meet Your Maker, it is best applied to the Falconic Plasmabow, given its larger clip size. A quick-fire rate on the Volt Lancer is certainly useful, but given its limited number of projectiles, players would be better served by the likes of the Magnetic Link to ensure they get the best out of their ranged offense.

While the Volt Lancer is arguably the best ranged weapon in Meet Your Maker of the two options, players are reliant on their ability to fetch their limited projectiles in order to reuse them. As only one of the ranged weapons is able to disable traps from a distance, it can be tricky to reuse ammo when the previous target is a little out of reach. The Magnetic Link, available for upgrading the Ironside suit provides some much-needed support for situations like this.

This Biolink increases the range from which players can retrieve their used ammunition and continue to reach havoc on an Outpost. At its highest upgrade, a mastery in the Magnetic Link perk will increase the range of retrieval by 50%. Whether players prefer the Volt Lancer or Falconic Plasmabow, a greater retrieval range will pay dividends toward a successful raid.

3 Gap Closer

For Custodians that are caught off-guard by a sneaky guard or trap, the use of melee weapons can be the ticket to survival if their reflexes are quick enough. However, for those who relish every opportunity to sink their blade into an adversary, the Gap Closer opens up far more opportunities to dispatch guards at arm's length.

The Gap Closer perk is specific to the melee-specialist suit Kamaitachi and boosts the player's range of attack when performing a melee lunge. Achieving mastery in this Biolink will give a 30% increase to the attack's range, making Custodians just as lethal with a blade from a distance as they are up close.

2 Quick Strike

The key to a successful outpost raid is survival, which is something that can be lost in a split second. With the Quick Strike Biolink, Custodians are given a potentially life-saving advantage in melee speed, which will ensure players will always beat their adversaries to the punch.

The Quick Strike perk is tailored for the Kamaitachi suit and its strength in melee affairs, giving its ability to slash and skewer traps and guards a faster execution. While the perk is marginal when first upgraded, mastery in this Biolink will see Custodians lunging at targets 45% faster.

1 Frenzy

The Frenzy Biolink/Perk from Meet Your Maker

The Frenzy Biolink is potentially the best perk to have when players find themselves on the brink of their demise, whether from an overwhelming number of guards or from triggering multiple traps. This perk grants Custodians a speed boost of up to 30%, if the skill is mastered, for four seconds after destroying a trap or dispatching a guard.

This perk, exclusive to the Kamaitachi suit, benefits play styles that favor speed over stealth. It ensures that even the most raid-savvy Custodians have a lifeline when an outpost's defenses catch them off-guard.

Meet Your Maker is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
