Halo: The Master Chief Collection pulls together a series that is widely enjoyed by fans of science fiction and first-person shooters. The original Halo title was released in 2001 and the Halo series evolved bringing in more players as the franchise continued. Fans of the franchise were excited when it was announced that the Master Chief Collection which includes the core games up to Halo 4, as well as ODST, was coming to PC. Some of the featured titles are fan favorites and a particular stand out is Halo 3 which has just had a status update.

The Halo franchise has been famed for its game mechanics, epic scale, and its online gameplay. The screenshots of Halo 3 and ODST are part of a general update of how the games are progressing during the coronavirus pandemic. It seems that the team has been working on the games from home and they shared how they are going about this process in a positive fashion. While the post did not dwell too much on the upcoming Halo 2 remaster it did conclude with pictures from future releases. The work in progress screenshots shows familiar images of players on a warthog on Halo 3 as well as some more dimly lit scenes from ODST.

The first release in this Master Chief Collection has been positively received and it will be interesting to see if the other remastered games continue this trend as they are released. What is clear, is that the Halo franchise has a huge audience who are keen to revisit the classic titles as anticipation builds for how the next game in the series will impact the next generation of consoles.

Anticipation and conjecture are already beginning to swell around Halo: Infinite and many will be keen to see how the game matches up to the acclaimed franchise.
