A Mass Effect fan has shown off their idea for an MCU-inspired cinematic universe for the gaming franchise. While Mass Effect fans have fallen in love with BioWare's series of sci-fi action RPGs for a multitude of reasons, a lot of players find themselves incredibly attached to its expansive universe and the characters that fill it. From Mass Effect's protagonist Commander Shepard to the crewmates onboard the Normandy like Liara T'Soni and Urdnot Wrex, there are plenty of different species and personalities that fans identify with throughout their space-faring adventures.

While each of the squadmates in the Mass Effect games often get their own moments to shine both in the original trilogy and Andromeda, there are plenty of backstories and moments that fans don't get to see. Beyond character's origins that don't appear onscreen, there are also a lot of events in the Mass Effect series that have shaped the Milky Way galaxy in the games.

There are plenty of secondary sources for fans to read about Mass Effect lore, but one Reddit user known as RedMajora72 has a different idea for how some of the background that is left out of the games can be displayed. Inspired by other franchises like Star Wars and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, RedMajora72 drew up their design of 18 Mass Effect projects that could each be turned into their own TV series or movie, focusing either on a character or a major event in the series.

RedMajora72's proposed MCU lineup of projects includes all three games from the Mass Effect trilogy and ends with Andromeda. But it also gives fans a closer look at some things they might not have seen before, such as the origins of Commander Shepard and what some of the more popular characters were doing in between the games. Garrus Vakarian is one of Mass Effect's most popular characters, for example, and in RedMajora72's concept he would have his own trilogy, showing his journey from a C-Sec officer to a vigilante before finally becoming a general in Mass Effect 3.

A lot of Mass Effect fans joined in on what cinematic projects they'd like to see if the games branched out into movies and TV shows. One fan stated they wanted to see a prequel series focusing around the Mass Effect 2 squad mate Mordin Solus to show how he created the genophage. Unfortunately for those who want to see a bunch of Mass Effect movies, it doesn't seem like any are in the works, though BioWare is currently developing Mass Effect 4, which many are expecting to release after Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.

Mass Effect 4 is in development.
