Fast-forward eight years, and Masamune is back and enacts a plan to get his revenge on Aki, who has now forgotten about him. But perhaps things are not as they seem. Neko Fujinomiya
As one of the main female characters in the Masamune-kun's Revenge anime series, Neko Fujinomiya falls in love with Masamune. While Masamune does not reciprocate her feelings, Neko does not give up and continues to support his choices.
Neko is a frail girl from a wealthy family who fell in love with Masamune when they were children. She also used to be chubby and can be very kind and caring. When Neko confronted Masamune with her feelings, she told him she fell in love with him when they were younger and had also fallen in love with the person he is now.
Kanetsugu Gasou
Kanetsugu Gasou is quite an intriguing individual. She is a chubby female who disguised herself as a male to marry into the Adagaki family. She particularly disguised herself as Masamune to marry Aki and save her family from poverty.
Before Kanetsugu’s true identity was exposed, she took Aki on dates, tricked her, and made her think she was the Masamune of the past who had come back for her. She even proclaimed that she would always be waiting for Aki, and Aki fell for it without a shred of doubt. Fortunately, Kanetsugu’s plans were foiled and exposed by the true Masamune.
Kojuro Shuri
As a rom-com manga and anime series, Masamune-kun's Revenge has a lot of love triangles. Masamune’s best friend, Kojuro, has a crush on Neko, but the girl has eyes only for Masamune. Initially, Kojuro only became friends with Neko through Masamune. However, as he interacted with her more, Neko was able to change his mind from his ‘all girls are scary’ perspective.
Kojuro closely resembles a girl and has androgynous characteristics, but he remains a boy. He asks Masamune for dating advice but is usually too scared to put them into practice. Kojuro is also bad at schoolwork and extremely fond of sweets.
Tae Futaba
Masamune’s class rep, Tae Futaba, is one of the main girls in the series. When Masamune transferred to Yasaka High School, she helped him settle in and supported him. Along these lines, she fell in love with Masamune and asked him on a date. However, he rejected her. But they remained friends. Although Tae has a crush on Masamune, she prefers to keep her feelings to herself rather than act on them.
Tae is interested in boys' love and often ships Masamune and Kojuro together. She is also kind, cheerful, and usually in a good mood, as seen when she did not hold a grudge against Masamune even though he rejected her.
Muriel Besson
During Masamune and Aki's class trip to Paris, they encounter Muriel Besson, a French Otaku who was voiced by the Japanese actress Miku Ito. On meeting them, Muriel enlists their help for a manga that she is making, and they agree to help her. Muriel uses Masamune as the model of her hero and Aki as the model of her heroine.
With her medium-length hair, Muriel is very intrigued by Japanese culture and traditions. She is also very obsessed with Love Comedies that are about High School students. Muriel is also very much spoiled by her brother, Frank Besson, who is the boss of a Milieu.
Yoshino Koiwai
Aki’s maid, Yoshino, is the main reason for Masamune’s revenge. Eight years ago, Yoshino was the one who rejected Masamune, calling him 'pig's foot' while disguised as Aki. Unfortunately, Masamune’s sudden departure from Aki’s life broke her, and she ended up hating every boy. While Yoshino regretted her actions and tried to find Masamune, she made no headway in her search.
Eight years later, Masamune returned. Yoshino discovered that the now Masamune Makabe was the former Masamune Hayase, whom she called 'pig’s foot' while disguised as Aki. To make it up to him, Yoshino aids Masamune’s revenge plan, even though she was the one who broke Masamune’s heart as Aki.
Aki Adagaki
As the female protagonist of Masamune-kun's Revenge, Aki is infamous for her cruelty, and her tendency to humiliate those she rejects. Due to this, she was given the nickname ‘The Brutal Princess’. As part of Masamune’s revenge plan, he spied on her when he first enrolled at her school.
While spying on her, Masamune tripped and exposed himself to Aki, who was secretly eating. As she has an eating disorder, Aki is very conscious of her eating habits and hides them. With Masamune discovering her eating, Aki threw a fit but eventually warmed up to the boy after he saved her.
