Gwen Stacy, like Peter Parker and other iconic Marvel characters, has had several iterations through different source material. Marvel's Spider-Man spins its own web of lore and character continuities, ensuring that plots are fresh and fans of the characters are left in suspense and surprise with regard to what may ensue.
But Gwen has not yet made her way into Marvel's Spider-Man, as fans have actively acknowledged since the original game's release. Instead, Mary Jane Watson was established as a conflicted romantic partner of Peter's. Moreover, Miles Morales and Gwen are romantically linked in one continuity, and fans have recently questioned whether this storyline should be adapted in a subsequent installment of Marvel's Spider-Man.
Walo-888 throws a particularly hot take into the Marvel's Spider-Man community by stating they would like to see Gwen appear as a romantic interest for Miles. Further, Walo-888 seemingly wants Gwen to be a romantic interest exclusively, without her having the prospect of eventually becoming Spider-Gwen. This suggestion has divided fans who love either iteration of Gwen, whether it be the intelligent college student who hates Spider-Man and gets dropped from the George Washington Bridge, or The Mary Janes' drummer who gets bitten by a genetically-engineered spider.

Marvel's Spider-Man players argue that the two Spider-Men that Insomniac Games have developed already, Peter and Miles, are already a lot to juggle. Indeed, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales presented the first time that the two fought crime together, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 may want to develop the dynamic duo further. But some fans believe that it might be Insomniac's natural progression to continue adding Spider-people into their universe, and that it might be possible that even a single tease will be thrown in somewhere.

However, multiple fans have come to the defense of Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales' Hailey Cooper, a street artist with impaired hearing who communicates with Miles using sign language. Despite Hailey's minimal role as a side character, she is beloved by fans who would prefer to see hers and Miles' relationship blossom. While it is not necessarily stated that they have feelings for each other, it appears as though Insomniac has laid an implicit foundation for a romantic connection to occur in the future.
Based on a post from Insomniac that Walo-888 provides, dated back to 2018, it is seemingly suggested that Gwen could play a role in the future of Marvel's Spider-Man. Either that, or Insomniac may just not want to completely close the door on a potential character, but are waiting until there is an opportune and practical time to write her into the narrative. Whether as a mild-mannered and tragically fated love interest or an alternate-universe crimefighter, it is certain that fans would like to see the character in some capacity.
