Peter Parker represents the best in all of us. He's a good-natured soul just trying to do what is best for others, putting himself in jeopardy time and time again. He's such a good hardworking soul that he even allows criminals to be rehabilitated, not holding a grudge for their misdeeds either.

Spider-Man 2: How Long to Beat and Get the Platinum Trophy

Here's about how long it will take most people to beat Marvel's Spider-Man 2's main story and unlock the Platinum trophy.

He believes in second chances, even though his faith bites him in the butt. He's lost a lot of people in the process too like Uncle Ben and Aunt May. Perhaps it may sound a bit naive of Peter to forgive as easily, but he is just optimistic. These quotes in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will showcase his noble, humorous, and heartfelt side.

WARNING! There will be spoilers.

8 “Are You Sure This Isn't Something You Can Handle Yourself?”

Mission: Surface Tension

Miles in Marvel's Spider-Man 2

The beginning of the game has some great comedy in it. Peter finally landed himself a teaching job at Miles’ school too. Unfortunately on his first day, Sandman decided to go wild and he started destroying the city.

Miles pretends to have to go to the bathroom and asks Peter for help which is when he responds with this quote. The joke here is that Miles needs help in the “bathroom” which is both embarrassing for Peter and Miles. As humiliating as it is, duty calls.

7 “You Take A Punch Really Well, Good Job.”

Mission: One Thing At A Time

Fighting enemies in Marvel's Spider-Man 2

This mission happens right after Sandman is taken care of in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Despite his capture, Peter and Miles have to go around the city to rescue people trapped by sand piles as well as deal with miniature versions of Sandman. Also, crime is running rampant because looters love to take advantage of chaotic situations.

While pummeling some foes, Peter thinks it would be a good idea to open up a compliment club in the city instead of a gun club. That’s when he gives this humorous example while players beat up enemies during gameplay.

6 “This Will Be A New Record.”

Mission: Where Have You Been?

Yuri in Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Peter and Miles have a few side missions in the game that play out with elaborate storylines. For example, Peter has one wherein he investigates a new cult that loves fire. In the first mission of this storyline, he runs into Yuri, a former police officer, who has become a vigilante named Wraith in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

The best suits for Peter in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 celebrate the many different versions of the character and some of his most iconic movie moments.

Wraith is perfectly fine with killing cultists to get what she needs. Not okay with that, Peter saves around a dozen cultists in this mission, claiming that his rush job is probably a new record as the building collapses around him.

5 “I Didn't Bring Any Honey.”

Mission: Stay Positive

Fighting a boss in Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Peter is one of the funniest characters in the Marvel universe because he always has a good quip. Sometimes his comedy borderlines on dad jokes that are so bad, one can’t help but laugh at the awkwardness. A great example can be seen in the mission “Stay Positive” wherein Kraven’s men invade the research foundation.

There’s an elite soldier dressed like a bear which is when Peter makes this crack about honey. The only way this joke would have been better is if Peter called him Winnie the Pooh since Marvel is owned by Disney.

4 “MJ...Run”

Mission: Wake Up

MJ in Marvel's Spider-Man 2

After Peter gets the Black Suit in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, he starts to change. In “Wake Up” Peter passes out at home but right after his house gets invaded by Kraven’s men. MJ tries to wake Peter up, but she cannot so she sneaks out to signal Miles instead. That’s when “Peter” wakes up except that it isn’t him.

The suit is now in control and starts killing Kraven’s men left and right. Once the suit catches up to MJ, the real Peter has enough strength to tell her to run. It’s a horrific ride and a memorable mission to be sure.

3 “Spider-Man Didn’t Save Me Back There, Miles Did.”

Mission: No Escape

Miles fighting Peter in Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Eventually, Miles has to face his mentor because the real Peter has been swallowed up by the suit. It’s one of the more challenging boss fights/missions in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, because players also have to fight Kraven right before this.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2: The 5 Best Suits for Miles (& How to Get Them)

Many of the best suits for Miles in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 are based on other superheroes or versions of the character from alternate universes.

In the epilogue of the mission when Peter is free, Peter tells Miles that it wasn’t Spider-Man who saved the day. Miles is the one who broke through because he was speaking from the heart. This is one of many times that Peter elevates Miles to new levels because he believes in him that much.

2 “Guess You’re Gonna Have To Make Up A New Prophecy.”

Mission: It Was Meant For Me

The flame in Marvel's Spider-Man 2

There’s another great quote from the cult missions with Wraith. In the finale, Spider-Man gets pinned down by a truck, literally stuck on top of him. The Flame says that Spider-Man is part of some prophecy but Peter never buys it on these missions.

Even in a dire situation like having a truck parked on top of him, Peter can’t help but joke around when The Flame reveals himself again. It’s at this moment when audiences also find out this man is going to be Carnage in the sequel aka Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

1 “I Love You.”

Mission: Finally Free

Harry’s friends staying with him in a coma in Marvel's Spider-Man 2

This is the last action-oriented mission of the game which involves Peter and Miles teaming up to take down Venom. By this point, Venom had fully taken over Harry’s body. In the ensuing action, the two free Harry of the symbiote but it also looks like Harry is not long for this world.

It’s a sad moment as Peter kneels beside his best friend and confesses his love as Harry passes out. Technically, Harry isn’t dead and he could return in the sequel. Either way, it’s a beautiful moment between the two characters and fans will probably shed a few tears.
