With the plethora of suits that Spider-Man has worn over the years, it’s great to see Insomniac Games bring those to life in Marvel’s Spider-Man. Ranging from live-action suits, to even more obscure references that die-hard Marvel fans may have missed. Most suits feature the origin of their creation, and why they are in Marvel’s Spider-Man.

45 Advanced Suit

As the cover suit for Marvel’s Spider-Man, the Advanced Suit represents the love and craft of the Insomniac Games. It’s their original design, and an attempt to modernize Spider-Man’s costume, but at the same time, to pay homage to the classic design.

This is the baseline suit for Marvel’s Spider-Man story, and exists after Peter Parker’s original suit is damaged during a fight with Wilson Fisk. With Otto Octavius’ help, Peter Parker’s new and slick Spidey suit is created.

44 Classic Suit (Damaged)

classic suit damaged

The damaged version of the Classic Suit comes into play after a climactic battle to take down Wilson Fisk. Spider-Man’s fight with Kingpin leaves his classic outfit damaged, and torn, as represented through the rips, tears, and dust speckles covering the outfit.

The dust and dirt marks make for a battle-damaged Spider-Man. The only improvement would be if one of his lenses was destroyed, a classic look for a beaten Spider-Man in the comics.

43 Classic Suit (Repaired)

When players begin their journey in Marvel’s Spider-Man, they will suit up for the first time in the Classic Suit. This suit is Spider-Man’s definitive look. With bold red and blue colors, and a small black spider symbol on the chest. It’s a great superhero costume.

Players will be able to reunlock the Classic Suit after spending 2 Backpack Tokens and 2 Crime Tokens, as it is damaged in a fight with Wilson Fisk, making the cleanliness of the costume falter.

42 Noir Suit

The Noir Suit is an additional suit to Marvel’s Spider-Man. It features one of Spider-Man’s most iconic alternate timelines, in which Peter Parker became “Spider-Man Noir”. This Spider-Man is a lot grittier than the other renditions, as he is an investigative reporter during WW1.

Spider-Man Noir was most famously seen in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, where he was voiced by the delight of Nicolas Cage. The character comes from an alternate reality to the mainline Marvel Universe of 616.

41 Scarlet Spider Suit

With all of the power and none of the responsibility, the Scarlet Spider Suit swings onto the scene for Marvel’s Spider-Man. Considering Spider-Man has a long and convoluted history, it may not be a surprise for fans of the comics to know that Peter Parker has a perfect clone called Ben Reilly.

The Scarlet Spider is what Ben Reilly called himself, and the outfit in Marvel’s Spider-Man is a faithful recreation of such a costume seen in Marvel Comics.

40 Spider Armor MK2 Suit

In Marvel Comics, Peter Parker lost his Spider-Sense. Considering Spider-Sense was essential to Spider-Man’s reflexes, and what helps him dodge literal bullets, the armor was necessary to stop himself from getting shot dead.

Spider-Man’s outfit in Secret War appears in Marvel’s Spider-Man, featuring a more stealth and slimline design thanks to S.H.I.E.LD.

38 Stark Suit

The Electrically Insulated Suit is more commonly referred to in Marvel Comics as the “Electro Proof Costume”. It’s worn by Peter Parker to negate the effects of electricity that came from an overcharged and severely dangerous Electro.

The story for Fear Itself involved Spider-Man, the Avengers, and other heroes, battling with their Asgardian allies to combat Serpent, the Asgardian God of Fear, and Odin’s brother.

The MK4 of the Spider Armor is unique to the other versions, as it more closely models Spider-Man’s iconic classic suit. Peter created it with his experience from the other suits, and at Parker Industries, once it became a worldwide technology corporation.

As cool as the armor was, it was destroyed in the comics by an EMP, proving once again that spandex is superior to technology-based armor.
