Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Reveals Two New Suits for the Game

PlayStation unveils two new Marvel's Spider-Man 2 outfits which are set to debut once the game officially launches on October 20.

As confirmed by Insomniac Games, fans can start pre-loading Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on their PS5 consoles after pre-ordering it from the PlayStation Store. This will let users install the full game on their console, allowing them to play at midnight local time on October 20. Insomniac Games has also shared a small GIF of Peter and Miles in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 to go alongside the announcement, but it probably doesn’t feature any new footage.

Most games on PlayStation consoles can be pre-loaded 2 days before launch, giving fans a reasonable amount of time to download them. However, Sony sometimes makes an exception for first-party titles, as users can get additional time in these cases. Players are getting around a week to download Marvel's Spider-Man 2, with God of War Ragnarok also giving users a similar time frame to finish their downloads.

Players interested in pre-ordering the game should note that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has a fairly big file size, as it will take around 86.268 GB of storage on PS5 consoles. A previous leak suggested that Marvel's Spider-Man 2 would require 98 GB of space, and while the final number is a bit smaller, its file size can increase with post-launch updates.

86 GB is ton of data, but some games have already gone well above the 100 GB mark this console generation. As an example, Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War can take over 300 GB of storage, with Gran Turismo 7 sitting just under 200 GB. Games like The Elder Scrolls Online and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor also require a massive amount of space, so the file size of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 feels pretty reasonable by comparison.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 releases on October 20, exclusively for PS5.
