Spoilers ahead for Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

A strange glitch found in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has shown just how powerful Miles Morales would be if it was possible to use him during Peter Parker's boss fights. The bosses in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 have a ton of variety in terms of gameplay, but allowing players to use Miles at times would have the potential to completely break how they work.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was released in late 2023 to critical acclaim after a five-year gap between mainline titles in the series. For most, it was worth the wait, allowing players to switch between fan favorites Peter Parker and Miles Morales for the first time. With each Spider-Man having their own unique move set and powers, the game balanced its boss fights around ensuring that it would be a challenge for whichever character gamers would be using at that point in the story. When this balance is unsettled by a glitch, it can be totally thrown off.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 makes a few radical choices by the end of its story and one of them doesn't quite make sense regarding Peter and Harry.

Miles is Broken During Peter Parker's Boss Fights

Redditor akalegos shared the footage from the Scream battle, which is supposed to be one of the hardest boss fights in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Usually, this fight would always be played as Peter, but this user has figured out how to play as Miles, and it completely breaks everything. Miles' moveset is simply too strong for Scream, with his electric-based attacks stunning the boss and allowing for a constant flurry of hits until she is defeated. It removes any difficulty from the fight, and is certainly not how the developer intended it to be played.

According to the user in the thread, the glitch is extremely easy to replicate. Any player who wants to do this for themselves must switch to Miles before they reach the checkpoint, just prior to entering the Scream mission. This will then begin the fight with Miles' moveset enabled, allowing for an easy win. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has plenty of difficulty modifiers out of the box, so luckily most won't have to resort to glitches like this in order to beat the game.
