Warning: Minor spoilers ahead for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.An unlucky Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 fan loses access to Miles Morales’ Evolved suit from the final moments of the game, though it seems like other players wish they had encountered the bug as well. For those who are aware of the controversy around this Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 costume, the jokes about the bug will likely come as no surprise.

Though some players appreciate the “Miles Morales original” that the young hero wears during the final encounter with Venom and the Symbiotes, many have issues with it. One of the common complaints about the suit is the Adidas branding, as many argue that Spider-Man would not wear a suit that is essentially advertising for a clothing company. Critics of the costume also dislike the open-headed mask that exposes Miles’ hair, since they feel it makes his identity too easy to guess, as well as the blue glowing material on the costume’s spider symbol.

Spider-Man 2's Controversial Miles Suit Wasn't Designed By Adidas

Miles Morales's Evolved Suit is one of the most divisive outfits in Spider-Man 2, but Adidas didn't have as much influence with it as many fans think.

Unfortunately for Reddit user Hi12345xx, they are someone who enjoys Miles’ final suit. According to the player, though Miles wore the costume during the final mission and its associated cinematics, the costume remained locked in the suit selection screen. They attached an image of their 100% completion save file and confirmed they were updated to the latest version of the game, so unfortunately, it seems like they are out of luck and cannot get the suit on their main save file.

In the comments section of the post, players were quick to crack jokes about the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 bug being beneficial. Some players referred to the OP as “the chosen one” for being able to hide the suit forever, while comments like “consider yourself lucky” and “the best glitch ever” received numerous upvotes. Still, some other players mentioned how frustrating it was to see the overreaction to the costume, as there has been an overwhelming amount of negativity for what is ultimately one of many suits players can wear while controlling Miles.

Assuming that Hi12345xx does not want to start a whole new playthrough to unlock the suit, especially since there is a chance that the bug could just happen again, they will likely have to wait for Insomniac Games to address the issue. Currently, the developer has its hands full with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s new game plus update, which will be accompanied by requested features like mission replays and Symbiote tendril color changes. As long as enough commotion is raised about the issue, though, hopefully Insomniac will notice the problem and provide a solution.

With artistic players sharing redesign concepts for Miles’ Evolved suit that give it his traditional black and red color scheme, it will be interesting to see if Insomniac makes any adjustments to the costume in the next game. Much like Peter’s Advanced Suit was refined with Spider-Man 2, Miles’ new main costume could be as well, though Insomniac could also stick to its guns like it did with the MJ gameplay sections.
