Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has a ton of content for players to dive into and enjoy, whether that is through the main story or side quests. Side quests may not be required to be completed like the main story missions in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, but they're unique, fun to play, and offer incredible rewards that fans wouldn't want to miss.

While some side activities grant Peter and/or Miles new suits to sport while swinging around New York City, others give players new gear to utilize in combat. Some missions may not grant rewards other than EXP and such, but the experience of the side quest is worth taking on.

7 FNSM App Request - Find Grandpa

The FNSM App is a feature that the Spider-Men utilize to connect with New Yorkers around the city in need of help. With the innovative app, players can find new quests to take on outside the main storyline. 'Find Grandpa' is the very first FNSM App Request that fans can partake in, and will surely leave a mark on hearts all around.

The Find Grandpa mission has Spider-Man help a young woman locate her grandfather. When Spider-Man does find him, the old man asks Spider-Man to sit with him on a bench in the park while talking about the love of his life, who had died a while back. Though this mission only rewards fans with EXP, it helps players advance through the FNSM App Request questline and gives them a heartfelt experience that delves into their emotions.

6 All Prowler Stashes

In Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Miles and Peter both have quests that only one or the other can complete, meaning that Peter can't undergo Miles' missions and vice versa. One of the questlines unique to Miles Morales is Uncle Aaron's Prowler Stashes. Prowler Stashes are located all around New York City for Miles to get into.

Players should not waste any time unlocking these powerful suit upgrades in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.

There are eight Prowler Stashes that Miles can find, each one granting more lore and Rare Tech Parts to use in upgrades. When all Prowler Stashes have been found, players will encounter Uncle Aaron once again, but this time he's moving into the apartment above Miles. Aaron will then reward Miles with new tech, which will allow players to use the 'Prowler Strike' move when Miles is camouflaged.

5 Cultural Museum Missions

Cultural Museum missions are another Miles-only set of quests for the newer Spider-Man to take on. When a musical history museum is ransacked, Miles tracks down the criminals who stole the instruments, which helps set up the museum's gala. There are only two Cultural Museum quests that fans will have to partake in, making it a quick and easy side storyline to take on.

When the Cultural Museum quests are completed, fans will be able to attend the museum's gala with Ganke, which has true-to-life exhibits on historical figures from the past that Miles can check out. Completing these missions also rewards Miles with a new suit: The City Sounds costume.

4 Brooklyn Visions Activities

Seeing as Peter has a bit more playtime within the game's story, Miles has a little more to do around New York City when it comes to side activities in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. The Brooklyn Visions activities are another set of quests that Miles can take on, all of which have to do with the students at Brooklyn Visions Academy.

There are five Brooklyn Visions missions for Miles Morales to complete, all of which are unique and engaging. When these missions are completed, the last quest, "A Gift," will appear. This quest is simply retrieving a gift that the students had prepared for Miles, which turns out to be the Boricua suit.

3 All Marko's Memories

Flint Marko, more popularly known as Sandman, is one of Spider-Man's many colorful villains. In Marvel's Spider-Man 2, players will instantly take on Sandman in the sequel's opening sequence, helping players become familiar with intense fights and hectic combat.

By unlocking these skills, Spider-Man 2 players will have much more fun.

While Marko is inevitably captured again, many crystals remain around New York City that Spider-Man can find and obtain to help Marko find himself once more. Soon, players learn about what had truly happened with Marko and his family. Finishing up with Marko's Memories puts a lid on this side story, grants a trophy, finishes Marko's statue, and eases Marko's mind.

2 FNSM App Request - Photo Help

'Photo Help' is another FNSM App Request that fans can eventually check out after progressing through Marvel's Spider-Man 2's main story. To start this mission, players will need to use Peter Parker. Once Peter checks out the person who sent out the request, they state that they needed help to take good photos "like Peter Parker."

The photographer then shows Peter a very old Daily Bugle cover with a photo that Peter took when he was still in high school. The photo shown to Peter is a replica of the cover of Amazing Fantasy #15, which introduced Spider-Man to the world. Peter then reminisces about when he took the photo, and players will get to play as 15-year-old Peter Parker meeting with JJJ near the Daily Bugle.

1 The Flame Questline

Those who played through Marvel's Spider-Man will no doubt remember Yuri Watanabe, an officer with her own sense of justice. Though Yuri had lost her job, players checking out The Flame questline as Peter will find Yuri working as a vigilante known as Wraith. Yuri uses this new alias when taking on a cult set on erupting fires all around New York City.

What's worse is that the leader of the cult, known as The Flame, is an old villain that Yuri had tried keeping down back in her cop days. In The Flame questline, Peter helps Wraith track down and stop The Flame, while ensuring that rage doesn't blind Yuri on the way. When The Flame's missions are complete, Peter obtains a new costume to wear.
