Marvel’s Midnight Suns has rich roots embedded in occult witchcraft and mystic arts. But it also dabbles in light cartomancy, particularly in the game’s early marketing through influencer kits. These unique parcels arrived with creative tarot cards depicting each of Marvel’s Midnight Suns’ playable characters, or at least those who were already revealed at that time. Tarot cards do not have any true significance in the game’s narrative, but tarot cards do contribute to its side activities and collectible hunting throughout the Abbey grounds.

Like much of Marvel’s Midnight Suns’ optional exploration in the Abbey grounds, there are impediments to players’ progress that are navigated after having completed each Blood Gate. Blood Gates contain spells that the Hunter can use to access obscured paths or rewards, and tarot cards are often hidden in these areas. However, the game’s collectible tarot cards do not feature its playable characters, but a series of others that include intriguing name-drops as an entertaining nod to the rest of Marvel’s popular IP iconography.
