Some games forget to allow the characters to pet the dog and the gaming community never appreciates it. Marvel's Midnight Suns is so aware of this fact that they've not only allowed players to pet their "dog," Charlie, but created an entire system of rewards based on giving Charlie some love at least once per day.
The trick is that Charlie is not stationary. While she will first be encountered in The Hunter's room, Charlie will move around during the day and sometimes even move after a simple interaction with an object or conversation with characters. To get the bonus from the dog in Marvel's Midnight Suns, players can utilize a simple trick.
Finding Charlie
- Open the map.
- Find the paw symbol.
Carlie has several locations she can appear in. Some common ones are by the television in the common room, by The Hunter's bed, in the library, and even in the forest just west of the yard. Theoretically, players could scour the whole map just to get their daily rewards from petting Charlie.
But there is a far more simple solution. Open the map and note the symbols. Most of these symbols will designate the location of the hero on the map. For example, after unlocking Iron Man, his trademark mask icon will be someplace on the map, telling players where he is located.
Charlie might not be an official Marvel superhero, but she gets an icon on the map even so. Look for the signature paw logo and that's where Charlie will be. Petting her gives players some immediate rewards and also increases Charlie's power in combat.
That may sound like very little since Charlie doesn't have a deck able to be edited as the others have, but some challenges require Charlie and one legendary ability puts Charlie in combat. Official or not, Charlie fights like a superhero and the good girl has The Hunter's back during the game's most challenging moments.
