Players going for the hardest difficulty settings in Marvel's Midnight Suns are frequently going to face a dilemma. They'll finally get a couple of heroes with good decks leveled up and ready for the next big assignment only to find that the assignment requires using an underleveled teammate.

The good news is that Marvel's Midnight Suns has foreseen this issue and given players a way to bring the weaker hero up to speed. Gamers will likely know it as "Horde mode" when they fight waves of opponents for the experience. In the game, this event is known as the Threat Room.

Research New Threat

Players will need to raise their research level a bit before they can access the Threat Room. This acquisition can happen rather early on in the game if players know to look for it. Head to the forge and get it started after hitting research level four and doing three missions with Magik.

The process will take one day, so get it started, edit the hero decks, and knock out another mission. Go to sleep and revisit the forge to get completion credit for the research. After that, years back up the stairs to the right right to visit the yard.

Creating The Threat Room

Gamers will have to save up 175 credits before they'll be permitted to build the Threat Room. After scoring that amount of cash, the room can be built under the 'Yard Upgrades' section at the upgrade sword. Get it built and then hop inside with a low-level character.

Because the rewards are solely experience, it's best to only use this mode for learning about characters or leveling up ones that have fallen behind for an upcoming mission. That said, it is indeed effective. In conjunction with the process of snagging more cards for these superheroes, teammates should be pulling their own weight in no time.

Marvel's Midnight Suns is available now for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
