Iron Man is one of the first two players get to use in Marvel's Midnight Suns. So that being said, gamers might mistakenly believe that he's unlocked right off the bat. That is, unfortunately, not the case, and gamers will find he's unavailable for use going into the first mission.
The good news is that he's not all that far off. He's in the abbey when Marvel's Midnight Suns starts, just not available to bring into combat. Don't despair, unlocking Iron Man will be a priority for many gamers who love the snarky, narcissistic, good guy and they will get their wish granted fairly soon.
Unlocking Iron Man
- Complete the Sanctum Symbiotum mission.
One of the first missions players get from the Mirror Table is the Sanctum Symbiotum mission. Since players will have already unlocked Blade and unlocked Doctor Strange, the Hunter will be required to take these three into combat for this particular battle.
After Sanctum Symbiotum, Iron Man is available as is his deck. Take him along on missions to acquire new cards with Gamma Coils and get him even stronger. Iron Man has total room-clearing capabilities and is easily one of the best damage dealers in the game.
If players edit his deck, he can handle reinforcements on some of the toughest settings and maps. Or he can also build up heroism while dealing damage against individual targets, allowing somebody else on the team to unleash their strongest powers.
Regardless of how players feel about him as a character, it's tough to deny his versatility; if players draw only his cards, he can single-handedly win an encounter on lower difficulties. This is likely the rationale behind giving him to the players so early. He is a safeguard against any fight going completely poorly as he'll always provide cards that contribute to "peace" through superior firepower.
