When players found out that Blade was going to be in Marvel's Midnight Suns, the excitement from the community was through the roof. Gamers haven't had any meaningful opportunities to play with Blade in a while and he was sadly dropped from the most major moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The beloved half-vampire vampire hunter is back. He's every bit as awesome as was anticipated. His lifestealing and bleed abilities make him one of the most unique heroes in Marvel's Midnight Suns. For players who want to unlock him as soon as possible, there is some good news in store.

Unlocking Blade

  • Complete the tutorial.

Blade, along with Doctor Strange, is the first teammate that The Hunter gets. Because the mission design is for a minimum of three characters, these three are available before the start of the first official mission. Select 'New Game' and he'll be ready before it's time to choose a mission from the Mirror Table.

As with the other characters, unlocking him is something of an inevitability but while most of the other heroes can be expedited by looking for a specific mission, Blade is ready to go right after the tutorial. Save the game after this first mission for a nice clean start in case the rest of the playthrough goes south.

Gamers who elect to skip the introductory tutorial will have Blade available right away. His deck can be edited immediately and any side missions players want to bring him on will allow him to tag along. He's got some great lifesteal abilities for those who generate the heroism necessary to build him up.

His starting cards are only a taste of his full power. As players go through the missions and unlock even more cards, Blade is a great teammate for both tanking and damage dealing. Perhaps this is why he's unlocked before any other superhero. There aren't any challenges the game poses that Blade is truly not prepared to handle.

Marvel's Midnight Suns is available now for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
