Ghost Rider is one of the premier damage dealers in Marvel's Midnight Suns. Yet even he gets put to the test when he has to somehow eliminate a mini-boss and four minions in a single turn during the Dark Heart challenge.
These challenges aren't like most battles in the game. There are modifiers to the cards played, redraws, and moves. The cards received are preset and defined. There is usually only one way to beat this challenge in Marvel's Midnight Suns and this is the way to do it for Ghost Rider in Dark Heart.
How To Beat The Dark Heart Challenge
- Use the Lash card to knock opponent 2 into opponent 3.
- Use the Lash card to knock opponent 4 into opponent 2.
- Use the Judgment card on opponent 3.
- Use the Retribution card on opponent 1.
- Use the Penance card on opponent 5.
Lash will help gather up a couple of these enemies so they can be taken out as a group with Judgment. Start by snagging opponent 2 and bashing him into opponent 3 with Lash.
Use the other Lash card to whip opponent 4 into opponent 2. This will kill opponent 2 and leave both opponents 3 and 4 at lower health.
Use Judgment on opponent 3 to kill it. The resulting explosion will also take out opponent 4.
Retribution is now powerful enough to wipe out opponent 1 with the knockback. There is no way to miss the wall with the knockback from this angle, so don't sweat the direction.
This will add the Penance card to the player's hand. Use it on the mini-boss, opponent 5, to take it out and beat the challenge.
Winning Dark Heart gives players a copy of Penance, a legendary card for Ghost Rider. Edit the deck to add the card and get some practice with it. He can be a bit demanding in terms of Heroism, but Ghost Rider's best deck allows him to take on most damage responsibilities on his own.
Marvel's Midnight Suns is available now for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
