Early in the story of Marvel's Midnight Suns, players are tasked with retrieving the lost Elemental Rods for Agatha's Altar for reasons she is seemingly deliberately vague about. They were scattered around the Abbey by the Scarlet Witch following a failed experiment and never replaced, but players won't have to look too far to uncover them.
Marvel's Midnight Suns provides players with a large explorable home base to spend time in between missions, known as "The Abbey." Full of mysteries and secrets to uncover, players will need to learn and make use of various Words of Power in order to gain access to new areas of the Abbey and uncover its secrets. This guide will cover where to find the four Elemental Rods needed to resolve the puzzle of Agatha's Altar and get one step closer to the second Word of Power.
All Elemental Rod Locations
Fire Rod
The Fire Rod is the first Rod players receive a clue for from Agatha, and also one of the easier rods to locate. To get the Fire Rod, players will need to head for the Chapel in the Abbey Barracks, where the rod can be found sitting in plain sight.
Once players head over to the Altar with this Rod, they'll need to put it into the pedestal on the far right.
Water Rod
The Water Rod has been stashed away under the bridge at the pool near Blade's Training Yard, as seen in the image above, and shouldn't be too much trouble to grab early on. The next two Rods require slightly more effort to obtain.
Once players head back over to the Altar with this Rod, they'll need to put it in the Pedestal on the far left of the Altar.
Earth Rod
The Earth Rod has been hidden in a slightly morbid place, and somewhere we saw very early in Midnight Suns. Scarlet Witch put the Earth Rod in The Hunter's tomb, which is currently shut. Fortunately, the door can be removed using the Power Word "Open," allowing access to the small chamber with the coffin and the Earth Rod lying on the ground nearby.
Once this Rod has been collected, players should put it in the Pedestal directly to the right of the Altar.
Air Rod
The final of the Rods players will need to collect is the Air Rod, which Wanda chose to put in a windy spot not too far from Agatha's Altar at a small shrine.
Players should head into the Elemental Altar and take a right turn, heading through a small archway and past a door that requires the Word of Power "OPEN" to access. Beyond that door is the Whispering Wood, and taking a right turn as soon as possible allows players to reach the shrine where the Air Rod can be found.
Once the Rod is collected, players need to put it in the pedestal directly to the left of the Altar.
