And one video game that is sure to become a must-play for gamers is Marvel's Midnight Suns since it allows players to become a superhero and create a team of crime-fighting heroes. But, unlike other Marvel-themed, Marvel's Midnight Suns uses Cards to carry out actions, like Skill Cards. And with each hero having their own set of Skill Cards, players will want to know which ones are the best.

5 Call To Arms - Hunter

Marvel's Midnight Suns Hunter Skill Card
  • Double all Heroism gains for 2 turns.

At later stages in the game, enemy units will come in near-endless waves while bosses seem undying, making even the best playable heroes in Marvel's Midnight Suns struggle to take an inch off their HP. Luckily players can use powerful Cards that can take out most enemies, but to use them players will need Heroism. And that's where the Skill Card "Call to Arms" comes into play.

Call to Arms doubles all Heroism gains for two, at the expense that it doesn't grant any Heroism when used. Players can use this Skill Card before activating other Skill Cards that grant Heroism. And since the Hunter will most of the time be on the team, players can use it every match. Without any doubt, one of the best Skill Cards in Marvel's Midnight Suns that players should include in the hunter's deck.

4 Make 'em Bleed - Blade

Marvel's Midnight Suns Blade Skill Card
  • Draw 1 Blade card. The next 2 Blade damage cards apply 2 Bleed.

Blade is the undisputed champion of DoT (damage-over-time) attacks, inflicting a high level of Bleed on enemies. And that's he has a slight chance of inflicting Bleed every time he deals damage, thanks to his Passive Abilities (Cold Blooded 1 & 2). But, not all of his Attack and Heroic Cards cause Bleed, which is why players must use the Make 'em Bleed Skill Card.

The Make 'em Bleed Skill Card will allow players to draw one Blade Card from the Deck and apply Bleed to the next two Blade Attack or Heroic Cards (as a bonus it adds two Heroic points). Players can exploit this Skill Card by using Blade's signature Heroic Card, Glaive, which also inflicts two Bleed on enemies. As players will see, Make 'em Bleed is a top-tier Skill Card that merits being used whenever Blade is on the team.

3 Vapors of Valtorr - Doctor Strange

  • Apply Concealed to Doctor Strange or an ally.

The founder of the Midnight Suns (in the comics), Doctor Strange, is an essential support class character in Marvel's Midnight Suns. Doctor Strange is capable of removing harmful status effects on allies while providing Heroism points. And one vital Skill Card players must use with Doctor Strange is Vapors of Valtorr.

This Epic Skill Card applies Concealed to Doctor Strange or an ally. The Concealed Status Effect, makes the caster (or target) unable to be targeted by enemy units as long as they aren't damaged by an AOE Attack or use a targeted ability. Players can take advantage to heal the Concealed ally or wait for a few turns until the moment is right to come out of the shadows.

2 Double Up - Nico Minoru

Marvel's Midnight Suns Nico Minoru Skill Card
  • Generate a copy of each Skill, Heroic, and Attack in your hand (selected randomly when drawn). Exhaust.

Nico Minoru is a relatively new addition to the Midnight Sons (comic book version of Midnight Suns) and has already proven to be a mighty mage, thanks to the Staff of One. And in Marvel's Midnight Suns, Nico plays a vital role in the progression of the main storyline. While she's mainly an AOE damage dealer, many of her Skill Cards offer significant support to the team and players.

And without any doubt, Nico Minoru's best Skill Card is Double Up, as it randomly generates a copy of each Attack, Skill, and Heroic Card in a player's hand. The only main downside of this Skill Card is that it will be discarded (due to Exhaust) once drawn, meaning players can only do it once in a match. Nonetheless, Double Up can turn the tide of any battle.

1 Inspire - Hunter

  • Change the cost of a random Heroic card in your hand to 0.

Yet another Hunter-themed Skill Card players must have in their Deck is Inspire since it changes the cost of one Heroic card to zero. As players can imagine, having this Skill Card in 2K's Midnight Suns will allow players to essentially play a powerful Heroic Card for free. For example, Iron Man's Heroic Card Air Superiority+ which usually costs 4 Heroic points, will cost 0.

The only downside is that players must be aligned toward the Light Branch to be able to unlock this Skill Card. But, of course, players that are already on the Light Path will easily unlock throughout the playthrough. The effects of Inspire are unmatched, making it one of the best Skill Cards in Marvel's Midnight Suns.

Marvel's Midnight Suns is available now for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
