Marvel's Midnight Suns offers a number of rewards to players as they complete missions, with one rather significant reward being artifacts. These can be taken to Doctor Strange, who uses them to increase the research level, allowing players to gain access to more advanced research.

After Strange has examined the recovered Artifact in Marvel's Midnight Suns, it is added to the player's inventory, where it will remain until they're able to make use of the Offering Bowl. When the Offering Bowl is unlocked, players can use it to get extra mileage out of Artifacts by exchanging them for other useful items; here's how.

How to Get Artifacts

Artifacts are available as a reward from missions, with rarer artifacts becoming available later on in the game as missions grow in difficulty. After retrieving an artifact, it can't immediately be used in the Offering Bowl since Doctor Strange needs to study the Artifact first.

Take it to Strange in the forge and ask him to study it, revealing its form and granting a reward of essence. This also helps to increase the research level, allowing him and Tony to unlock better upgrades.

How to Unlock the Offering Bowl

After unlocking Agatha's Cauldron, speaking to her in the Library will cause her to mention the offering bowl, and after locating it, speaking to her again will trigger a short explanation of how to use it. The Offering Bowl can be found just west of Agatha's Altar, up some stairs and along a short path, but until Agatha has spoken about it, players will be unable to make use of it.

How the Offering Bowl Works

The Offering Bowl can only be used at night and only once each in-game day. Players can place an Artifact inside the bowl and then use a Word of Power to convert it into a new item. The artifact and word used have an effect on the outcome, though it typically provides players with arcane keys, large amounts of gloss, or a mix of both.

Rarer artifacts tend to grant larger rewards, making more difficult missions and their rewards even more valuable. Changing up the word used to make the offering to see what happens is often a good way of getting different rewards too.

Marvel's Midnight Suns is available now for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. It is coming soon for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
