Not much has been said about Marvel's Avengers since it was delayed in January. Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have deigned to press pause on marketing and announcements until closer to the game's September launch. But even Square Enix couldn't resist the opportunity provided by this summer's hype train of reveals. That's why Crystal Dynamics is planning what it's calling a War Table stream for Marvel's Avengers to air on June 24.

The official Marvel's Avengers Twitter account made the announcement on Wednesday. The development team said that it has "reassembled at home," referring to COVID-19 work from home policies, and that it's "working to finish our mission." That's why Crystal Dynamics is excited to do its War Table stream on June 24, which will be used to show fans "new gameplay and co-op." It'll be the first live stream done by the Marvel's Avengers development team.

After the official Marvel's Avengers account tweeted that information, the Crystal Dynamics account followed up with a bit more personal of an update. Crystal Dynamics says that it's thankful for its fans' "continued passion and support" while it deals with the impact of COVID-19 on development. Since it knows how eager fans are to play, it's decided to provide a sneak peek.

A short video was attached to the original tweet by the Marvel's Avengers account. The video mostly focuses on the game's developers and an inspirational statement from the whole team. However, it also teases some previously unreleased Marvel's Avengers gameplay. The final 5-10 seconds of the video shows some of what fans can look forward to. "New trailers," "co-op gameplay," and "story missions" are specifically mentioned.

When it comes to co-op gameplay, which hasn't been shown yet, the teaser video offers only brief glimpses. There's a scene with Thor and Black Widow, one with Iron Man flying and the Hulk below, and a third with the Hulk and Thor.

The tease of more story content is also exciting to consider. So far, only Marvel's Avengers intro level has been shown. That level focused on an event that causes what's believed to be the death of Captain America and the dissolution of the Avengers. Obviously, there's a lot more story after that. A tease of it will hopefully be coming on June 24.

Marvel's Avengers releases September 4 on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
