After weeks of teasers and lead up, the Red Room Takeover has finally arrived in Marvel's Avengers. Players have survived the Rooskaya Protocols, but the HARM Room computers are infected with a deadly virus and now there is a single player challenge for heroes to embark on during the remaining days of the Red Room event.

Players are forced to enter the challenge solo and no companions of other players can join along for this phase of the Red Room event. The event difficulty does scale to each player's Power Level, but it is still going to provide a pretty serious challenge for the average Marvel's Avengers player.

Luckily, there are a few basic tips and tricks that players can use to successfully complete the mission and continue working through all of the Red Room takeover mission chain tasks. Before diving back into the HARM room for another run, review these basic tips for success and be sure to keep them in mind when selecting a hero and tackling the challenge.

The following tips come straight from Marvel's Avengers Principal Designer, Jason Botta...

Always Be Moving

"With large waves of enemies in small spaces, you'll need to keep on your toes to stay out of harm's way Utilize the 'techno lava' death pits."

Positioning

"Positioning yourself correctly and utilizing the correct attacks to knock troublesome enemies off platforms to their deaths can be critical to surviving certain waves. Especially with Hulk—grab and toss, grab and toss."

Target Prioritization

"Whittle down the weaker enemies as you run around the rooms at the start of each wave (because currently, everyone still spawns at once—we're working on that). Finish up with the stronger enemies that require strategic play to defeat and are best handled in isolation."

Mobility

"You can get through them with anyone, but characters like Black Widow, Kate Bishop, Hawkeye, and Ms. Marvel can really flow through the spaces. Grapple is especially good for last minute saves when plummeting towards Techno Lava."

Environment Awareness

"Several heroes have moves that will translate them very far while in air, this can often lead to inadvertently landing in a death pit. Switch up tactics/moves in the air to avoid unfortunate deaths until you are really comfortable with the environments and can judge when you are over safe ground or not."

That should be everything players need to know to jump into the Red Room Takeover activities and get started towards earning their in-game rewards. Remember that the event wraps up on May 31, so players should act quickly if they want to earn all of the rewards that are up for grabs before the timer expires and the HARM Room purges the virus.
